The final epic track on&nbsp;Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 2, Foals' second album of 2019, is the basis for a symbolic, impressionistic vision by the band's close friend David East.&nbsp;Shot primarily against the 'white walls of England'&nbsp;on the shores of Botany Bay in Broadstairs, Kent - and filmed the day after the UK general election in December last year - the video for Neptune is a series of long takes of various elements curated by East and Foals' frontman Yannis Philippakis, to highlight the crescendo of not only the song but the entire album.With lengthy slow-motion shots on or around the beach of galloping horses, walls of fire and glistening waterfalls - and abstract artefacts from the digital world&nbsp;- this has the quality of an art piece, to be appreciated and deciphered in a gallery. Like the music video equivalent of 'slow TV'&nbsp;this is an experience to be savoured.

Everybody&#39;s doing live videos these days - even Gorillaz.Well, almost. The gang is back as&nbsp;Gorillaz director/co-creator Jamie Hewlett and director Nicos Livesey at have teamed up once again&nbsp;to create the world&rsquo;s most famous virtual band&rsquo;s first ever performance video, for Tranz.In classic Gorillaz style it seamlessly fuses different forms of animation and graphic styles into one seamless whole, with very trippy and supercool results. So trippy, in fact, it may have confused the guys at Blinkink, who say &quot;We captured the band performing against green screen&quot;... Perhaps it was live after all.&nbsp;&nbsp;Nicos Livesey is known for creating innovative animation techniques incorporating physical mediums, such as the tapestry embroidery for this year&rsquo;s BBC World Cup trailer, and the old-school claymation of his &ldquo;Glore&rdquo; video for US punk band Radkey. He and Blinkink worked with Parisian animation house Eddy to get 2D, Murdoc (or his cousin), Noodle and Russel to take the unusual step of actually playing&nbsp;their instruments...&nbsp;

Pascal Teixeira&#39;s new clip for Royal Blood is a performance in the great white void.The black and white clip floats and melts around the band as they perform the song in an endless white expanse. The camera wanders with a blatant disregard for silly ideas such as &#39;up&#39; or &#39;down&#39;, and instead posits the idea that there is no right way up. There is only an endless void with a rock band floating in it.

Bloody bloggers. Lily Allen wrote URL Badman&nbsp;about the internet&#39;s hipster trolls&nbsp;in response to the backlash she received from her song Hard Out Here. The Sacred Egg&#39;s&nbsp;Ed and Alex have expanded on that idea, translating the wrongness of trolling&nbsp;bloggers into a&nbsp;physical glitch. As a result, they have&nbsp;produced an intriguing visual effect.&nbsp;Exploiting their debatable fashion sense, Lily&#39;s keyboard cowboys&nbsp;get split in half, and&nbsp;warp into increasingly bizarre rainbows. This it was achieved in a fairly&nbsp;ingenious fashion - sets of twins were composited to appear as one person split in two, with individual pixels being stretched to achieve the final result.Another strong idea by The Sacred Egg after their videos for Breach and DJ Fresh - and a deadeye hit on a unpleasant modern phenomenon. A really marvellous video by Nabil Elderkin for Foals&#39; Bad Habit, taking a classic notion and making it thoroughly his own. Foals lead singer Yannis finds himself marooned in a vast desert, but it soon transpires he&#39;s not alone: he&#39;s trailing a naked girl who makes plants grow in the sand where she walks. But the audience realisation that she&#39;s obviously a form of mirage is just the start.A great idea executed with stunning imagery, and where the excellent visual effects work &ndash; by Ukranian post production house Gloria FX &ndash; creates a spectacular shifting desert which is also a psychological landscape.
