The fourth video in an outstanding series for alt-soul singer Joesef by Luis Hindman offers one final unexpected twist.Following the videos for It's Been A Little Heavy Lately, East End Coast and Joe, this one for&nbsp;Just Come Home With Me Tonight ties everything together, carrying through the modern film noir aesthetic, this time with Hindman collaborating with DoP Nikita Khatsarevich.Once again, Joesef is a night out - lovelorn and lonely - but then he finds someone. This turns into a dreamlike chapter of passion on London's drizzly and dark&nbsp;streets.Finally, there is a connection back to the first video when Joesef returns home - alone -&nbsp;where the love interest from that video (played by Adam Monks) is waiting for him. So is Joesef unfaithful, or did everything before that actually really happen?As with its predecessors this conveys the sense&nbsp;that the Scottish singer-songwriter&nbsp;is a romantic but restless soul, and does so in impressively cinematic fashion. All the films serve his debut album, Permanent Damage - out in January 2023 - very well indeed.

Charlie Sarsfield directs a compelling promo for George Ezra's Dance All Over Me, which sees George in a large studio space, performing as a group of dancers begin to multiply behind him.&nbsp;Transitioning from wide shots to extreme close-ups, the camera glides around the space smoothly, capturing a hypnotic amalgam of movement and performance.[imgtoken data:1]"Since watching his early videos, I’ve always wanted to work with George and actually doing so has been quite surreal," says Sarsfield.&nbsp;"The idea stemmed from taking inspiration and techniques traditionally used in hip hop videos from the likes of Kendrick Lemar and Pa Salieu, where people in the background begin to multiply."We wanted it to feel like George had walked onto the wrong set, surrounded by dancers. As the track progresses, the choreo really comes to life, almost as if the music inspired them to move."George liked the idea of having line dancing, featuring LOTs of dancers and the routine was masterfully put together by Suzzette Brissett. Brock Neal Roberts's new video for Sam Fender - his second for the South Shields singer-songwriter, after last year's&nbsp;MVA-nominated&nbsp;video for&nbsp;Seventeen Going Under - elevates an everyday story of teenage friendship&nbsp;with a clever visual device.&nbsp;In the video for Getting Started, we see four friends work their way down their tower block, picking each other up on the way as they prepare to head for a night out. And each stage is mainly presented as a three dimensional photo, the camera tracking through the boys as they are caught static,&nbsp;in the moment.[imgtoken data:1]Brock has mainly used&nbsp;in-camera effects to create this sense of hyperreality, with the young actors freezing their bodies in a physical way&nbsp;rather than achieving the effect in post-production - identical twins were used to play the same characters, to bring the complex blocking to life.&nbsp; Imaginative art direction assists to make this work, such as the spray of a deodorant can and smoke from a cigarette created with cotton wool.Sam Fender's performance&nbsp;is the final piece of the jigsaw, walking through the same night-time streets, the unseen narrator of the boys' lives. In the Director's Cut we are featuring here, he is slightly more incidental to the action than&nbsp;in the official release. Clean Bandit's Jack Patterson collaborates with Eric Myers to direct the heartfelt video for Everything But You, in aid of the Campaign Against Living Miserably.The video boldly addresses the subject of depression and suicidal thoughts with a combination of grim, gritty realism and uplifting fantasy - and perhaps controversially depicts a scene of attempted suicide with has necessitated the video opening with a 'trigger warning'.At the heart of the video is a relationship story - and dance sequence -&nbsp;between the young man at the end of his tether, and the magical elf-like female alien who saves him. She shares the same appearance, and flying ability, as Clean Bandit's Jack and Grace, and vocalist A7s, in the Avatar-style performance set-up.[imgtoken data:1]Eric Myers is known for his work as a DoP, but in this case he hands over that role to Rick Joaquim, who excels in bringing two contrasting visual styles into one package.&nbsp;And ultimately the story delivers a strongly optimistic message, as explained by Clean Bandit in their support for CALM."The message of Everything But You is that there is always hope, always a reason for living.
