"I listened to it&nbsp;repeatedly and kept seeing women searching for each other in a seaside town. Ideas present themselves and it’s not about logic or reason, it’s about emotion. And here the&nbsp;emotion suggested identically dressed women finding each other in the English town of Southend-On-Sea.““The track seemed to have its own secret language and I wanted the women in the video to seem to have their own secret language too.”&nbsp;&nbsp;

Tom Beard directs a darkly poetic promo for Baxter Dury, playing the sole audience member to a unique pole&nbsp;dance performance.&nbsp;In Beard's video for&nbsp;D.O.A., Dury is the denizen of a pole dancing club, where the dancer is not only male, he bears more than a passing resemblance to the Grim Reaper.[imgtoken data:1]The video is an exploration of the developing relationship between the two characters, during the Reaper's parodic pole dancing performance, in cloak and leather headdress, with the initial humour of the scenario becoming something more poignant.&nbsp;Sinister and sensual in equal measure - with Baxter Dury offering a characteristically stylish yet doleful presence -&nbsp; the video is elevated by colourful lighting and measured camera movement, which allows the narrative to unfold at its own pace.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Huse Monfaradi directs a splendidly vibrant, and wittily retro&nbsp;live visual for Declan McKenna's Be An Astronaut.&nbsp;With a single line of silver glitter drawn on his face, the indie-rock prodigy sets aside the more heavy surrealism seen in his official videos, and goes all-in with a dynamic live performance of old school glam rock.&nbsp;Paying homage to iconic artists in the genre - particularly Hunky Dory-era Bowie and early Elton&nbsp;-&nbsp;the&nbsp;track is visualised through a lively and unabashed performance from McKenna, backed up by a handful of equally animated, and appropriately&nbsp;styled&nbsp;musicians.&nbsp;The location is excellent too, toeing the line between derelict and palatial. And Monfaradi's canny use of camera&nbsp;and lenses seals the early '70s vibe,&nbsp;and works well in the themes of dreams vs reality that run through the lyrics.&nbsp;

He smugly takes pleasure in the control he&nbsp;thinks&nbsp;he has on these women - but things are about to change.Then&nbsp;the girls smash through the limitations society has imposed on them, with an empowering display of choreography and high-energy performance. The Four rewrite a new beginning,&nbsp;taking their rightful place centre-stage, nothing holding them back.&nbsp;DoP&nbsp;Luke Scully utilises plenty of frenetic camera moves and distorted composition to create the breathless atmosphere, matching the concept and themes perfectly.&nbsp;

Faced with the issues of enforced quarantine in making his video for Marcus Mumford's version of You'll Never Walk Alone, Nicolas Jack Davies turned to Zoom - possibly before most of us had heard of it -&nbsp;and&nbsp;pioneered some principles of the current phase of remote directing. Crucially&nbsp;the end result,&nbsp;with Mumford performing with Reuben James from their respective homes, has real emotional impact.Mumford's recording of the classic song - best known for its associations with&nbsp;Liverpool FC - preceded the onset of the Covid-19 crisis, and its purpose was always to support causes close to his heart: The Grenfell Trust and War Child UK. But the fact that Mumford and James had to rig up the camera set-up themselves, as per the directions of Davies and DoP Edgar Dubrovskiy, certainly adds another layer of purpose to the project.It was also made feasible by Davies' longstanding relationship with Mumford, that goes back to the very early days of Mumford &amp; Sons, and resumed last year after a long hiatus with the music video for <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2019/12/10/mumford-sons-blind-leading-blind-nicolas-jack-davies/62296" target="_blank">Blind Leading The Blind</a>, from the band's recent album Delta.&nbsp;Dubrovskiy also worked on that video, as did editor Liam Bachler, who does a fine job here with the ebb and flow of the creative process, where the usual separation&nbsp;of 'BTS' and 'video' disappears.

Diersmann's integration of these alien lights and shapes is brilliantly done through practical effects and post VFX is brilliantly done to give the video its attractively ethereal atmosphere.“After an initial chat with Klaas, I knew he understood the vision for the video instantly," says McTrusty.&nbsp;"I was blown away by the remote beauty of Kildare, Ireland, and it only added to the mystique.”

Marcus Mumford delivers the emotion at the heart of his band's new track Blind Leading The Blind through a cathartic performance on the drums, in this&nbsp;intense yet reflective video directed by Nicolas Jack Davies.Shot whilst the group were on tour in Bangkok, the industrial&nbsp;laundry setting works perfectly, ensuring Mumford's performance is&nbsp;the sole focus for the duration of the video.&nbsp;Edgar Dubrovskiy's use of super-slow motion creates snapshots of the action - shot on a Phantom 6K -&nbsp;allows the viewer to ponder these heightened emotional moments and the setting. And the further use of strobe lights creates a frenetic and exaggerated energy which Marcus Mumford thrives in. And ultimately this is all about Mumford's powerfully physical yet emotional&nbsp;performance.The video is the result of a renewed collaboration between Mumford &amp; Sons&nbsp;and Davies - formerly of directing duo Fred &amp; Nick, who directed much of the band's visual output&nbsp;for their first two albums. Adam Powell delivers an alternate video&nbsp;for Blackbear's teen-rebel anthem Hot Girl Bummer, with a significantly higher&nbsp;budget and ambitious concept to boot.&nbsp;Taking a shot at a society full of fashion wannabes and "edgy" influencers, the track and accompanying visual give a very literal 'f*** you'&nbsp;to the current zeitgeist. Packed full of dystopian iconography and styling, the dark elements of the music are represented through moody cinematography, glitchy VFX and&nbsp;hauntingly desolate locations.&nbsp;Powell's talent for blurring the line between mainstream and the avant-garde is very much on show throughout this video, and this&nbsp;juxtaposition creates an engaging visual world in which Blackbear thrives.&nbsp;
