Charlie Sarsfield directs a compelling promo for George Ezra's Dance All Over Me, which sees George in a large studio space, performing as a group of dancers begin to multiply behind him.&nbsp;Transitioning from wide shots to extreme close-ups, the camera glides around the space smoothly, capturing a hypnotic amalgam of movement and performance.[imgtoken data:1]"Since watching his early videos, I’ve always wanted to work with George and actually doing so has been quite surreal," says Sarsfield.&nbsp;"The idea stemmed from taking inspiration and techniques traditionally used in hip hop videos from the likes of Kendrick Lemar and Pa Salieu, where people in the background begin to multiply."We wanted it to feel like George had walked onto the wrong set, surrounded by dancers. As the track progresses, the choreo really comes to life, almost as if the music inspired them to move."George liked the idea of having line dancing, featuring LOTs of dancers and the routine was masterfully put together by Suzzette Brissett. Alex Lawther - acclaimed actor from&nbsp;End of the F*cking World,&nbsp;Black Mirror,&nbsp;and much more -&nbsp;has made his&nbsp;directorial debut for childhood friend and artist Linus Fenton.Sponsored by mental health charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) and beautifully shot on 16mm by DoP Adam Singodia, the film examines a difficult friendship between two young boys. They&nbsp;are close as brothers but find it impossible to make one another aware of their feelings.For the film, Lawther worked closely with movement director Grace Nicol to build an avant-garde visual language, which expresses the two boys' attempts to connect with one another, drawing on his experience as an actor to inform his directorial approach.“Linus called me up towards the end of the first Lockdown," Lawther recalls.&nbsp;"He’d written an album, [and] it was the first time I had heard him writing in this way. It was beautiful.&nbsp;I was very moved.&nbsp;&nbsp;"He then asked me if I’d like to direct a video for one of the songs. I&nbsp;was not only lucky to get to work on my first directing gig with a dear friend, but also a brilliant creative team and two wonderful actors - Roman Griffin Davis&nbsp;and Connor Mason."[imgtoken data:1]The video was produced by Blink, with whom Lawther worked when starring as Declan McManus's 'double' in the <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2020/04/16/declan-mckenna-key-life-earth-will-hooper/64352" target="_blank">Key To Life On Earth&nbsp;video directed by Will Hooper</a> last year.&nbsp;“Collaborating with Alex on his first music video has been such a wonderful experience," says Laura Northover, head of music at Blink.&nbsp;"His experience as an actor really informed his approach when working with the boys on set and during the rehearsals in the lead up to shooting."He’s not only the loveliest person, but also ridiculously talented. I’m looking forward to working together more in the future as he develops as a director.”

A young man struggles with the perceived notion that the whole world is against him, in Seb Tabe's profound promo for Ones' Blessings.&nbsp;Opening with a stylised interpretation of the lead character's -played by&nbsp;Leo Iheagwam&nbsp;-&nbsp;&nbsp;mental health battles, the video transitions into a series of vignettes, where strangers begin to harrass, belittle and assault the man.&nbsp;Ramping up the fear and paranoia in his mind, the concept is one which many viewers will relate to, and the authentic presentation of the themes and performances are a testament to Tabe's sensitive direction.&nbsp;

A man&nbsp;finds himself in an upside-down world, in Alexander Brown's mesmerizing video for Sub Focus and Wilkinson.Employing spectacular drone footage of Canary Wharf in London and a clever use of Steadicam, Brown&nbsp;toys with the viewer's experctations and sense of visual perspective, in a slow-motion rollercoaster where Down is usually Up, and vice versa - and is occasionally vertigo-inducing.Brown's approach - which originated as a lockdown video idea and evolved as film limitations eased - is well suited to this dreamy dance track, with its lyrical references to gravity. Our hero - dancer Mikey Boats - appears to be unbound by such things.&nbsp;

Following his self-directed videos for his own music, Roger Spy channels his offbeat energy into the promo for Alfreda's On and On.&nbsp;Set in the early 60s, On and On&nbsp;is a dreamlike fantasy featuring a pregnant bride, free and content in her isolation. Born out of an alternative take on the Catwoman origin story, the video pays homage to strong-minded artists such as Barbra Streisand and Róisín Murphy, concentrating on an improvised performance symbolic of female liberation and independence.Minimalist in its execution, the styling and art direction is striking and authentic to the time period, and Alfreda's performance exudes a playful energy that makes her mesmerising to watch.Since shooting the video, pre-London lockdown, Alfreda has become pregnant herself and is expecting her first child in November this year.ALFREDA:&nbsp;<blockquote>I've spent the last few months living out a similar state of isolated pregnancy as in the video - my&nbsp;life imitating my art.</blockquote>“I love this video even more now than when we shot it.
