Johny Mourgue's second video for Katy B - the follow-up to the Top 5 hit Katy On A Mission - sees a collaboration with Ms Dynamite for Lights On and putting a mass of floor-to-ceiling LED panels to good effect. 
Archer's Mark also captured Katy and Ms D's first ever <a href="http://www.archersmark.co.uk/music-promos/lights-on-katy-b-ft-miss-dynamite-live-at-notting-hill-carnival/" target="_blank">live performance</a> of Lights On, at the Notting Hill Carnival in August.

In contrast to their earlier promo for Devil's Spoke - filmed in the 35 degree heat of Goa - the directing duo Fred &amp; Nick take Laura Marling to the icy cold English Channel at Brighton for the acoustic ballad Rambling Man. And they found a hardy soul to actually brave the waters.
Lensed by a dry-suited Jonas Mortensen and graded by Aubrey Woodiwiss, Fred &amp; Nick bring out the stark introspection of Marling's musings to beautiful effect. And if sending someone into freezing water isn't enough there's drama here too.

Johny Mourgue, best known for his dance-poptastic work at Flynn for the likes of Dada and Armand Van Helden, has made a diversion into darker territory with this low budget effort for Dubstep producer/singer Goldielocks. 
Johny, currently in pre-production for his next video with Zed Bias and British Soul legend Omar, has been looking to demonstrate a more serious side and this gritty yet heart-rending effort is exactly that.

Michael Baldwin's latest collaboration with Travis has essentially a very simple idea. The band wanted to make the guitar solo in Something Anything the focal point of the video. That has been achieved very effectively.
But it's not just the concept, in which guitarist Andy wills himself to grow larger in order to perform the said solo. This works because it is beautifully achieved. It looks great, firstly due to Chris Sabogal's excellent photography, and then as a result of really painstaking post work - as Mike explains below.
It's not very fashionable to say something (or anything) nice about Travis these days, but frankly this is bloody good. Hats off to Mike and all concerned for their sterling work.

"The band wanted to make something that was based around the guitar solo, so we thought we would make Andy the guitarist bigger. In an attempt to do it all in-camera, we fed him growth hormones and tried stretching him overnight for a week to get him bigger but in the end it was a fruitless task and had to knock on the door of a post house to see if they could help.
"Glassworks said yes, thanks to the help of James &amp; Rich at Fallon (who were involved from the start as they are friends of Fran from the band, and were involved in the creative). And so after the more-complex-than-it-looks shoot - which involved lots of maths and scribbles to get exactly what we needed for the post - I moved into Glassworks for ten days with a small suitcase and toothbrush.
"It was a long arduous process as we had to rotoscope every shot of Big Andy. We didn't use greenscreen at all as it wouldn't have matched as well (and would have been a pain to work with in the small location).

"Anyway, Glassworks did an amazing job and I eventually moved home, where, rather worryingly, my girlfriend didn't even seem to notice I'd been away.
"I'll use this opportunity to once again thank all the crew, especially the generous and incredible Mr Sabogal, who all helped out as there was a lot of love involved in making this video happen."

Travis’s Something Anything by Michael Baldwin

It's a movie, it's a heist, a blag, and quite frankly a right royal f**k-up.
It's the latest by Mike Baldwin and a little comic gem, produced through his own outfit Red Rabbit Films so that very probably they could sink every last penny into the production. 
A wacky storyline, off-the-wall jokes, loveable incompetent goons and a sterling supporting cast confirm that young Michael has a decided knack for slightly bonkers comedy.

And then, by utter contrast, there's this sensual/sexy beast for American singer Stephanie Dosen (not produced through Colonel Blimp, but featuring on their website as Chris is now repped by Blimp).
