Coldplay invite viewers to experience their unique behind the scenes process in Orphans, directed by Mat Whitecross.&nbsp;As the video starts, a series of words in a traditional printing press font jump onto screen. "And then you can do a boom ka. Like boom boom ka".&nbsp;A child's voice narrates the words as Chris Martin&nbsp;suggests a new drum beat, in a raw and candid voice clip. We are then immediately thrust into a low-res black and white shot of Martin performing on a stage, barely visible amongst the grit and grain of the camera.&nbsp;As the visual continues, we see Martin play&nbsp;the guitar outside a train station, and then perform in an outdoor setting with the band, as overlays of emails from across the production process flash onto screen. This unique mix of BTS material and lo-fi performance is a world away from the big budget spectacles Coldplay are known for - but this could be their most intimate and exciting video yet.&nbsp;The latter half of Orphans is more concept-based, as the band perform in a derelict room with subtle art direction and a group of enthusiastic fans. A scattering of VFX overlays, including flowers, birds and animated words add a colourful jolt of energy to proceedings, right up to a climactic end scene.&nbsp;Jumping off the walls and sliding across the ceiling, this surreal ending is a testament to a band and director who aren't afraid to throw away the rulebook and delve into the avant-garde. Exciting and unexpected, Coldplay fans far and wide are going to love this.&nbsp;

On Monday, March 18th,&nbsp;Karen O and Danger Mouse performed their new single Woman on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and made history - all thanks to Spike Jonze.Jonze orchestrated what we can assume is a unique first, and turned the band&#39;s live performance on the show into a real music video, created live (as opposed to what has become known as a &#39;live music video&#39;). It featured Beanie Feldstein (Lady Bird), dancers,&nbsp;audience participation - yes, it definitely was done live - as well as Karen O, Danger Mouse and fellow bandmembers&nbsp;Carla Azar (Autolux, Jack White) on drums and Sam Cohen on guitar.&nbsp;&nbsp;And as he has done on so many occasions in the past, Spike did something strikingly simple to create something new. He turned regular TV into something else by dialing down to black and white. And then shooting everything on a single completely fluid camera, capturing everything in one shot. And, not surprisingly, he operated camera&nbsp;himself.It&#39;s the latest of several collaborations between Karen O and Spike Jonze down the years, including the the soundtrack for Jonze&#39;s film&nbsp;Where The Wild Things Are. Woman&nbsp;is taken from Karen O and Danger Mouse&rsquo;s album,&nbsp;Lux&nbsp;Prima, and&nbsp;Karen O &amp; Danger Mouse have also announced art installation,&nbsp;An Encounter With Lux Prima; an immersive, communal listening experience soundtracked by the album and opening in LA next month. &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;

The Director X-helmed video for Drake&rsquo;s Hotline Bling,&nbsp;sees the rapper inhabit some&nbsp;sleek, futuristic rooms&nbsp;in which monochromatic colours bounce of the walls and curvaceous ladies&nbsp;show off their shapely&nbsp;silhouettes.&nbsp;However these elements simply provide an&nbsp;atmospheric backdrop&nbsp;to an ample showcase of&nbsp;Drake&#39;s &#39;internet breaking&#39;&nbsp;dance moves, such as the telephone hands,&nbsp;side-to-side head bobbing and some unexpectedly Latin grooves...&nbsp;
