Shot just before the pandemic hit and the lockdown came to New York, Run The Jewels collaborated with Brian Beletic and&nbsp;Vanessa Beletic to&nbsp;create&nbsp;an anti-capitalist blockbuster for Ooh LA LA, the duo's collaboration with hip hop legends Greg Nice and DJ Premier, and the first single from the upcoming album RTJ4.Featuring&nbsp;a legion of dancers, a fleet of hot air balloons, cameos from&nbsp;Greg Nice, DJ Premier, and Rage Against the Machine frontman Zack de la Rocha, what sets this apart from virtually all other sumptuously-produced hip hop videos is its central, revolutionary&nbsp;concept. Cash money&nbsp;is no object - not as a signifier of wealth, but because it no longer has any value whatsoever.This is the party to end all parties - to celebrate a 'post-money' world, where everyone can survive&nbsp;without the green stuff, so they can pile it high and burn the lot. The Beletics drive this home by using much of the familiar iconography of music videos - where the Almighty Dollar is treated with fetishistic reverence and burning piles of cash is an admirable sign of&nbsp;extreme wealth - and then subverting that cliché.&nbsp;This is refreshingly cheeky example of social commentary without the&nbsp;moral guilt attached, and&nbsp;RTJ's El-P and Killer Mike lead this hoe-down to celebrate the idealistic triumph of hip-hop socialism with considerable gusto and evident glee - aided by the fact that Ooh LA LA is an absolute banger which augurs well for the rest of their new magnum opus.In the wake of Covid-19, the group have also been sharing weekly free downloadable activity and colouring books, and just last week released an exclusive new line of T-shirts as a fundraiser for their tour crew, who are out of work until the duo’s postponed world tour with Rage Against the Machine gets underway.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;&nbsp;RUN THE JEWELS:“We shot this video only a few weeks before the pandemic hit with no clue as to what the future held. Chromeo&#39;s&nbsp;super-funky dudes Dave 1 and P-Thugg have been getting up to mischief since they were&nbsp;from pint-sized puppies - and just about getting away with it. That&#39;s the endearing message from Dugan O&#39;Neal&#39;s warm-hearted video for Must&#39;ve Been.It starts with some innocent girl-avoiding, before harking back to their teenage years in the Nineties and avoiding parental retribution for their heavy weed-smoking (and getting support from guest star DRAM), before they reveal that they started out as badass 7 year old police car joyriders...&nbsp;Loads of fun, all perfectly in keeping with that loveable Chromeo vibe.

David Wilson&#39;s long-awaited mega-video for Arcade Fire is a double-sided beauty as contrasting as it&#39;s title, Money + Love.First comes the Black Mirror-esque satire for Put Your Money On Me, where the band are sold ino recod company slavery, with Toni Collette as the ice-hearted label exec, who makes them play a&nbsp;product-endorsing show at a casino.But following the band&#39;s break for freedom, the storyline dissolves into a pure, mesmerising performance of We Don&#39;t Deserve Love, captured in brilliant sustained&nbsp;takes. That in itself makes this a fantastic piece of work.&nbsp;And David Wilson has celebrated it&#39;s release this week by <a href="http://www.nme.com/news/music/arcade-fire-played-surprise-show-last-night-gramercy-theatre-spotify-spike-jonze-2264736" target="_blank">taking the stage at an Arcade Fire show in New York, with none other than Spike Jonze</a>...

Writer/director Dugan O&rsquo;Neal also stars in his video&nbsp;for electronic dance duo Kunzite - a homage to vintage acting audition tapes.Evoking&nbsp;80s-90s era open casting calls &ndash; and&nbsp;no detail is spared with the authentic&nbsp;vintage attire, VHS film-graininess and retro office decor &ndash;&nbsp;O&rsquo;Neal plays the eager actor waiting his turn behind other hopefuls for a chance at his big break. While actors line up and perform for a disinterested crew, with&nbsp;interpretive dance moves and rocking out with air instruments, our nervous hero in the waiting room finds&nbsp;momentary solace, with the entrance of another hopeful&nbsp;(played by O&#39;Neal&#39;s wife, Bethany McCarty).And&nbsp;when it&#39;s his turn to showcase his talents for the stern producer and bemused musicians, he mentally transports himself to a woodsy ethereal realm, where he finds the freedom and confidence to let loose. It&#39;s a great, goofy, feegood climax to the story.Very entertaining, and as well as Dugan&#39;s star turn, the whole project was a family affair: the surly casting director in the video is played by Tom Gundelfinger O&#39;Neal, Dugan&#39;s father.

The Sacred Egg&#39;s vision of the future is not all that cheery in Arcade Fire&#39;s new video for&nbsp;Everything Now.With the remnants of satellites littering the barren desert landscape, children playing among the waste and the floating cacti, and an endless team of people in hazmat suits combing the earth for clues, it&#39;s a dystopia that feels a little too real in wake of recent American political missteps in the field of climate change. Tied together through the decaying infrastructure, the various dystopian vignettes cast a bleak, but beautifully shot, view of the future. Intercut with a stylish-as-ever performance from Arcade Fire who sit right in amongst the desert themselves (next to a brilliant, entirely useless billboard that intentionally blends into the backdrop and also serves as the artwork for the album).

Nash Edgerton, who did a great job with the action-packed (and violent) video for&nbsp;Bob Dylan&#39;s <a href="https://vimeo.com/47908331" target="_blank">Duquesne Whistle</a>&nbsp;a couple of years ago,&nbsp;has reunited with the great man to bring film-noir back to life for The Night We Called It A Day &ndash; from Dylan&#39;s unexpected Frank Sinatra tribute album Shadows in the Night.It features Dylan in the middle of a&nbsp;love-triangle which is doomed for a bloody end - and&nbsp;only one&nbsp;player&nbsp;can make it out alive. The sound and image go&nbsp;wonderfully together, and Nash (and Bob) properly reflect the intrigue and cynicism of the noir genre. And&nbsp;Dylan&#39;s heartwrenching&nbsp;vocals making it difficult to not sympathise with him&nbsp;a little, despite his backhanded ways...

David Wilson delivers a righteous, ultimately joyous accompaniment to a classic Arcade Fire cri de ceour We Exist, thanks to a gripping performance by&nbsp;Andrew Garfield, showing that he is a more courageous actor than the&nbsp;Amazing Spider-Man allows.&nbsp;In fact, this also involves a change of garb, but a more profound transformation. The Garfield character&#39;s need to express himself as a woman&nbsp;leads him to a bar where he puts himself at the mercy of the local rednecks. But the predictable outcome of victimisation and violence - with echoes of Boys Don&#39;t Cry, the film about the murder of transgender teenager&nbsp;Brandon Teena &ndash;&nbsp;gets turned on its head.Drama becomes fantasy, as Garfield&#39;s aggressors become dancers - this is the second collaboration&nbsp;in quick succession, between David Wilson and&nbsp;choreographer Ryan Heffington who (as well as working on the Sia Chandelier video) choreographed David&#39;s superb video for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2014/05/06/hercules-love-affair-ft-john-grant-i-try-talk-you-david-wilson" target="_blank">Hercules &amp; Love Affair&#39;s I Try To Talk To You</a>.And then comes the brilliant payoff. Garfield is led by his dancer guardian angels through a portal into the real world: Coachella 2014, and Arcade Fire are playing We Exist. A moved (or quite possibly terrified) Garfield joins the band on stage. What a moment.&nbsp;
