FKA twigs applies her&nbsp;beguiling choreographic&nbsp;vision to her latest role as&nbsp;Nike Women&rsquo;s creative director for their Spring 2017 launch.Shot in Mexico City, Do You Believe In More? is a commercial in music video form,&nbsp;bringing together&nbsp;talented young performers in a series of statuesque&nbsp;and athletic&nbsp;modern movement sequences. And aside from the all Nike wardrobe, the branding does not impose itself on the artist&#39;s&nbsp;free expression, the severity of her&nbsp;voguing or the full realisation of Twigs&#39;s&nbsp;uniquely fierce and powerful&nbsp;aesthetic. But the collaboration&nbsp;does prove that Nike wear can&nbsp;handle&nbsp;even the toughest workouts at FKA twigs levels of intensity.&nbsp;

FKA twigs&#39; new EP M3LL155X&nbsp;features five songs, four of which - Figure 8, I&#39;m Your Doll, In Time and Glass &amp; Patron - are accompanied by a video directed by twigs herself, that&nbsp;come together to form a single continuous 16 minute film.&nbsp;As the last of the four, for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2015/03/26/fka-twigs-glass-and-patron-fka-twigs" target="_blank">Glass &amp; Patron</a>, was released&nbsp;as part of the 2015&nbsp;YouTube Music Awards back in March, the collected videos in&nbsp;M3LL155X puts that&nbsp;final chapter into context. And as a whole, its a big statement on the birth of creativity - involving sex, pregnancy, pain, and ultimately liberation.It&#39;s an intense&nbsp;experience, with&nbsp;memorable imagery - and elements of humour &ndash; &nbsp;as twigs&#39; work as a director blossoms&nbsp;in tandem with her work as a artist-performer.&nbsp;That&#39;s already been recognised at this year&#39;s MTV VMAs, where her self-directed&nbsp;video <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2015/01/15/fka-twigs-pendulum-fka-twigs" target="_blank">Pendulum</a> is nominated, together with the Nabil-directed video for Two Weeks. And she has just&nbsp;directed seven dance performance films for the Manchester International Festival &ndash; part of her residency there last month - which should be released later in the year.[imgtoken data:1]

FKA twigs shows she&#39;s in complete control, even when rendered immobile by the Japanese art of rope bondage known as Shibari (or possibly Kinbaku), as the director of the video for Pendulum. It&#39;s a work of startling and provocative imagery, that shows the lengths that twigs is prepared to go for her art.Now signed as a director to Academy +,&nbsp;in the latest issue of Creative Review&nbsp;twigs call this &quot;the biggest creative thing I&rsquo;ve ever done... It&rsquo;s a complete 360 involvement in terms of creativity&rdquo;.&nbsp;And she managed to tolerate impossible positions that experienced practitioners can hold for minutes.The VFX element came about through a collaboration with Lewis Saunders at One of Us, one of the VFX artists on fellow Academy director Jon Glazer&rsquo;s BAFTA-nominated feature, Under The Skin. The video for Pendulum follows the online spot for Google Glass which Twigs also directed - its also beautifully graded by Julien Biard at Finish, who also worked on the Google Glass film.&nbsp;

FKA twigs - Video Girl

Two of the most influential and&nbsp;creative figures working in music video in the past year have been&nbsp;an&nbsp;artist&nbsp;and a choreographer. And now FKA Twigs and Ryan Heffington have collaborated for the first time, on this &#39;concept video&#39; for Google Glass.Directed by Twigs herself, and produced out of Academy Plus, the film features Video Girl from her Mercury-nominated album, and unreleased track&nbsp;Glass of Patron, as Twigs searches for dance moves via Glass, and creates several alter-egos in the process. And, not surprisingly, the dancing is sexy, weird&nbsp;&ndash; and often&nbsp;spectacular.
