Then&nbsp;she begins to perform, the super-cool and buttoned-up throng she is addressing start to respond to her words. And soon the group are giving themselves up to Jessie's commands - and being their full unbridled selves.&nbsp;With her strong sense of fashion, Lawton gives the video a twist of sophisticated&nbsp;rock 'n roll decadence, but with the added element of euphoria which feels contemporary and certainly works with the uplifing nature of the track and Ware's remarkable voice.[imgtoken data:1]"As soon as I heard the track, I knew it had to be a celebration - a&nbsp;moment of joy, freedom of expression and individuality," says the director. "It’s all there in the lyrics - 'free yourself'. [I was] Imagining a gathering of like-minded free-loving folk at a stately home, very 70’s rock n'roll - but with a pinch of the occult thrown in."Knowing I’d want to make the tone provocative, I needed to ensure there was the class and sophistication in the visuals to keep it chic. That meant keeping mystery and intrigue at the forefront, using references of decadence, silhouettes to tease and a heavenly glow throughout. That’s where working with Rob Jarvis, DOP was a delightful experience - he has an eye for controlled compositions and a painterly effect when it comes to the use of light."Within this setting, Jessie is a true performer. Her ability to be the authoritarian preacher to the crowd of dancers in the start of the film, and get within the group towards the end and let loose was masterful to watch."

Diana Kunst directs an incredible performance promo for FKA Twigs ft Central Cee.&nbsp;Taken from the soundtrack of upcoming 20th Century Studios film&nbsp;The King's Man&nbsp;- a prequel to the popular&nbsp;Kingsman&nbsp;franchise - the track is a sweeping, Bond-esque epic, with dramatic strings and powerful percussion.The video reflects this sense of drama, interweaving dance, martial arts and slick visual effects,&nbsp;anchored by Twigs' ethereal presence and adeptness at a menagerie of different performance styles.&nbsp;Extravagant and amibitious - just like every Twigs promo - this feels like a perfect balance between the avant garde and mainstream, and is a stunning achievement across the board.&nbsp;

A collaboration between British director Fiona Jane Burgess and German choreographer Franka Marlene Foth, Versus documents two female dancers moving through the external corridors and open courtyards of the Hofgarten estate in Berlin, a modernist concrete maze.Electronic composer Frank Bretschneider provides a futuristic soundtrack that exploits reversals, glitches and ambient sounds. New York-based cinematographer Htat Lin Htut moves dynamically through the built environment, obscuring and revealing the dancers bodies, which are themselves clad in a muted palette styled by Elizabeth Fraser-Bell, senior fashion editor at Dazed.The choreography is concerned with the process of everyday life as a woman, a dancer, and a creative - impulsive and powerful, but also,&nbsp;at times, sloppy and slow. It&#39;s a study of contrasts: sexy and ugly, heavy and light, strong and soft. It&rsquo;s about trying to find balance and synchronicity. There is a characteristic violence lingering beneath the surface of this startlingly simple and carefully formed new work by this emerging filmmaker.
