Finn masterfully causes tension through the raw reality of the situations depicted in this video, mainly shot in neutral monochrome tones, but then breaking into a powerful midnight blue.Matilda Finn has just signed to Stink Films&nbsp;for commercial and music video representation in the UK. You know how we often have notes from the director about how they made the video, under this bit? Well, Ryan Staake had a better idea: putting his Director&#39;s Notes actually in the video itself.&nbsp;It wasn&#39;t quite what he had planned originally&nbsp;for the video for Young Thug&#39;s Wyclef Jean. But why explain further when Ryan does so in the video itself?Suffice to say, there have been meta-videos before, and they tend to be fun things. But this may well be the best ever. And as Young Thug doesn&#39;t come out of it in the best light, somewhat miraculous&nbsp;that it was released at all.

David M. Helman collaborates again with James Vincent McMorrow on this moody, subtle character study.Shot in black and white with a 4:3 aspect ratio &ndash; excellent work by DoP Dustin Lane &ndash;&nbsp;the clip takes a dark turn early on when the protagonist takes a huge fall whilst skating. From there onwards the video studies the young inner-city friend group whilst this brooding pain (both physical and metaphorical) hangs overhead. Subtle low rumbling murmurs of sound design enhance the darker moments of this clip.

Whitney are a band who take&nbsp;a bunch of old influences, like&nbsp;Sixties and Seventies country rock, to make their music.&nbsp;But Alan Del Rio Ortiz&#39;s video for No Matter Where We Go, keys into the important&nbsp;fact it all comes from youthful enthuiasm,&nbsp;energy and optimism. His video&nbsp;is about young love in Chicago, among several&nbsp;real couples - some of whom have to put up with the band playing in their living rooms - and has real joie de vivre.It&#39;s a very loveable video for what will hopefully be soon a much-loved band.&nbsp;

Jay Buim, regular collaborator with Future Islands, and director of the moving, even-handed mini-doc about modern cowboy life&nbsp;for their huge hit <a href="http://promonews.tv/videos/2014/02/26/future-islands-seasons-waiting-you-jay-buim" target="_blank">Seasons (Waiting On You)</a>, has now returned to the documentary form for Motez&#39;s The Vibe. What he documents is a sight for sore eyes. In fact, you may not believe your eyes.&nbsp;Buim gained permission to film the delegates of a &#39;furry&#39; convention, and records how the massive&nbsp;Marriot Marquis in downtown Atlanta&nbsp;is taken over&nbsp;by delegates wearing an astonishing array of imaginative cartoon-animal&nbsp;outfits.Following their progress from dance rehearsals to final&nbsp;party bash &ndash; and&nbsp;never seeing the people inside the costumes &ndash; is a fascinating, if bizarre&nbsp;spectacle. It does not explain as much as provoke questions &ndash; like who makes these extraordinary outfits? And how do I get one?

Prettypuke, the photographer with a knack for capturing a specifically&nbsp;gritty view&nbsp;of&nbsp;LA&nbsp;nightlife, has directed this (rather NSFW)&nbsp;music video for&nbsp;indie band Silverbird, capturing an off-beat romance between two young lovers.With scenes that include a girl&nbsp;masturbating to horror comics, playing with dentures and a bit of light weight suffocation, the proposition is definitely on the racy side. Prettypuke has managed to create a video that maintains the weirdness found in his photography but that also comes off as oddly cute and sincere.&nbsp;
