Tim Saccenti&#39;s fabulously off-the-wall video for Franz Ferdinand&#39;s&nbsp;Love Illumination taps into the band&#39;s evident fondness for surrealism, with a mash-up of scenes, visual effects and band performance, shot in a variety of formats by the masterful&nbsp;Marc Gómez del Moral.Tim drew from a variety of influences - including the pioneering music videos&nbsp;of&nbsp;Devo and The Residents, as he explains below &ndash; before shooting in London. The Love Illumination video was&nbsp;then posted (and generally roughed-up by 1980s technology)&nbsp;in New York. Absolutely splendid.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Plus, at some kind of parallel gig, TV On the Radio's Jaleel Bunton plays Nick Diamonds of Islands/the Unicorns, getting girls pregnant just by touching them... So just as insane as The Full Retard. I'm not even going to pretend that I know what's going on - so here's Tim:
"The "Stay down" video for El-P is a semi-prequel to our first video for his "C4C" album, The full Retard. In this episode we discover the origin of how our hero squirrel and internet sensation Mr. Killums, lost his Eye and witness a band battle/mass hypnosis/reality critique performance. Starring Jaleel Bunton of "TV on the Radio" playing the role of Nick Diamonds, the pop star antithesis to the dark light of truth that El-P spews, leading to an all out botox-fueled melee." 4AD's first hip hop signing Spaceghostpurrp's dark, uncompromising Osiris Of The East gets a woozy, graphic lo-fi video by Timothy Saccenti, following on from his cover photography for the Miami-Miami based producer and rapper's album Mysterious Phonk.
"When he asked me to create the promo for Osiris Of The East I treated it like a continuation of the album cover, creating a hazy, murky, smokey place to capture his performance," says Tim of the Spaceghostpurrp promo. "We wanted to keep it quite simple so used iconic mythological elements, lightning, fire, etc, which were projected from 16mm and video projectors to push the dirty quality of the piece. 
"We shot it quiet underexposed to help with the noisy look, shooting most of his takes in the penumbra of the shadow. To match the low-fi warped feel of the music we also shot with distorted mirrors an mylar to capture as many looks in-camera as possible."
