Geej Ower has directed a&nbsp;compelling promo&nbsp;for&nbsp;Jono McCleery&#39;s&nbsp;This Idea Of Us, capturing the intensity of a relationship through movement,&nbsp;that was&nbsp;produced as part of a short film project in Margate, organised by&nbsp;Stephen Bass of Moshi Moshi Records.Greatcoat Films were invited to take up residency for a week by Bass&nbsp;as part of his PRAH Foundation artists residency programme.&nbsp;Greatcoat produced three short films with three of their favourite directors, responding to the project&rsquo;s theme &ldquo;Stories From The Sea&rdquo;.&nbsp;The films include a narrative and a documentary short film, together with this film, directed by Ower and shot on 35mm by Charlie Goodger, which provides a haunting&nbsp;accompaniment to&nbsp;Jono McCleery&rsquo;s beautiful track.&quot;The narrative follows one man&#39;s psychological torment battling with the memory of a past relationship,&quot; explains Geej Ower. &quot;It&#39;s an emotional and physical story as our character attempts to rid himself of his past.&quot; &nbsp;

Depicting the story of two adolescent boys&#39; friendship as they&nbsp;go on a road trip from Oxfordhsire to Amsterdam&nbsp;with&nbsp;two fellow girl friends,&nbsp;Johny Mourgue&#39;s coming-of-age story for&nbsp;Causes&#39;s track&nbsp;To The River&nbsp;focuses on the ambiguous and unconfronted tension between the lads.&nbsp;We are presented with a montage of intimate shots implying a romantic nature to the boys&#39; mutual attachment, leading up to angst-ridden -&nbsp;and easily relatable -&nbsp;consequences of suppressed emotion.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Johny Mourgue&#39;s endearing, happy-go-lucky video for Foxes&#39; song Amazing follows the singer as she embarks on a road trip to the English seaside&nbsp;with her best mates in an orange&nbsp;Volkswagen hippie van.Plenty of joy and silliness ensues, some of which they capture via camcorder,&nbsp;even after the van breaks down and the girls have to abandon ship, to find their way to their caravan on foot.Shot&nbsp;in London and Bognor Regis, eventually the girls walk into a large pub with all eyes on them, before they deciding to go up on stage and&nbsp;make a night of it.

Foxes recruited Patrick Killingbeck to make the video for Feet Don&#39;t Fail Me Now - now showing on the H&amp;M YouTube channel &ndash; and to&nbsp;bring a story she wanted to tell to the screen.&nbsp;It sees Foxes playing the&nbsp;older sister, and surrogate parent,&nbsp;to a&nbsp;little brother having a&nbsp;troubled time at home with their problem-riddled mother.&nbsp;But the&nbsp;little boy himself has a mission which is distracting him from domestic&nbsp;turmoil, which involves&nbsp;impressing his crush, a pretty ballerina.With a little help from his sister, the&nbsp;boy devises a dance routine to charm the dancer,&nbsp;complete with&nbsp;backflips and pirouettes earning him a well-deserved,&nbsp;ear-to-ear grin of approval.&nbsp;

British rock band&nbsp;Milk gets an affecting,&nbsp;cinematic treatment for their track No Interruptions. gaffer-turned-director Rik Burnell&nbsp;and co-director Joe Wheatley create piece in which feeling&nbsp;run high, showing&nbsp;the tail-end of a terrible scene.The viewer catches the aftermath when a&nbsp;man walks out of the front door of someone&#39;s home&nbsp;with bloodied knuckles and a torrent of&nbsp;emotion&nbsp;flitting across his face.&nbsp;The suggestive imagery and raw emotion of the piece appeals to our&nbsp;curiosity as well as our expectation to know our subject&#39;s&nbsp;backstory, but the piece simply lets&nbsp;our imagination decide.Burnell and Wheatley says that the song provided all the inspiration for their interpretation.&nbsp;&quot;When we heard No Interruptions&nbsp;for the first time, the emotion behind the song was so evident.&nbsp;We could imagine it playing over a scene in a film where a character was experiencing a harrowing situation.&quot;

Connor Gilhooly&#39;s well-crafted video for Gengahr&#39;s&nbsp;Heroine builds a sensual experience based upon the legendary archetypes of a sleeping princess&nbsp;and her chivalric hero, using projections and colour separation to create a certain amount of sexual&nbsp;ambiguity.&nbsp;With the overlaying of red and blue imagery &ndash;&nbsp;reminiscent of the red and cyan of anaglyph 3D - covering both the &#39;romance&#39; and the band performance,&nbsp;its a pleasingly sensual video that fits the track wonderfully.&nbsp;

Taking his lead from the lines like&nbsp;&ldquo;there&rsquo;s panic in my heart&rdquo;, and &ldquo;can&rsquo;t hide from it all&rdquo;, Franklyn Banks has conjured a video for Gaz Coombes&#39;s solo outing Detroit with a&nbsp;sense of escape, and&nbsp;an epic canvas - and an important role&nbsp;for the&nbsp;ex-Supergrass frontman. &nbsp;Franklyn&#39;s focus is a running man &ndash;&nbsp;played by Mark Boulton - who we see first pounding along&nbsp;Blackpool seafront past the Illuminations. And he just keeps running - to the awesome landscapes of the Lake District, and on to London.&nbsp;Meanwhile, Gaz&#39;s brief appearances suggest a connection to the running man - but it still comes as a surprise when its finally revealed.&nbsp;I think you could say that Gaz is covering his back...[imgtoken data:1]
