Spanish director Alan Masferrer has created an idiosyncratic showcase for Alessia Cara - winner of Best New Artist at the 2018 Grammys - and the first single from her new album: a very stripped-down, conceptually-led version of a big studio production number that figuratively represents the jumble of emotions in Alessia&#39;s song Growing Pains.In a huge set, Masferrer uses theatrical lighting, fabric, occasional props and an impressive squad of dancers to tell the story behind the big suit that Alessia is wearing on the cover of her new album. It&#39;s also about navigating the obstacle course to adulthood, and also achieved&nbsp;in what appears to be a single take - with a real &#39;how did they do that?&#39; moment coming at the end.

Alan Masferrer presents a heavy-smoking playboy and his delightfully energetic&nbsp;friend&nbsp;in this kooky and very charming two-hander&nbsp;for LA&#39;s electro-disco duo Oliver.With plenty of appropriately 80s signifiers &ndash; the lips on the TV screens, the gold lamé swimwear, and a hero with a touch of the Dudley Moores about him - Masferrer&nbsp;toys with numerous influences (including perhaps, the love-hate relationship between Clouseau and Kato in the Pink Panther films). But there is nothing predictable about it - oer a&nbsp;recognisably linear narrative.But who cares, with a song this good, and a couple (Spanish actors Sheila Jordà and Xavier Pàmies) this loveable...?

But clearly, it&#39;s their legs that&nbsp;are most struck with ennui, collectively deciding to&nbsp;make a break for it. Once they are&nbsp;free at last, they joyfully&nbsp;move, run and dance as they please.&nbsp;

A wheelchair-bound elderly woman undergoes a remarkable transformation in the video for CatPeople's Love Battle directed by Barcelona-based Los Pérez - that's Adrián Pérez and Tania Verduzco. 
It's a love story, told through choreography, and an uplifting flight of fancy, that was funded directly by the band's fans, as a crowdsourcing project via the platform Verkami.
