Dora Paphides is back with another pop extravaganza - this time for Perrie's new track, putting their own&nbsp;twist on some classic chick-flick movies.&nbsp;Featuring the song's co-writer Nina Nesbitt, the&nbsp;video for If He Wanted To He Would is a mash-up of the likes of&nbsp;Mean Girls, The Holiday, Pretty Woman, Love Actually - or an alternative ending to&nbsp;The Princess Diaries, where instead of happily-ever-after, Perrie and Nina decided to storm the palace and wreak havoc.[imgtoken data:1]It begins with Perrie driving to the big country house, where Nina watches her ex-boyfriend (Jack Brett Anderson) plead for forgiveness for his misdeeds via the medium of written placards ("Sorry I Slept With Your Sister", etc)&nbsp;in the style of the famous scene in Love Actually.&nbsp;And then Perrie's car runs him over.While Perrie&nbsp;and Nina celebrate their friendship&nbsp;in the big house with some pampering and dressing up, the vain ex continues to provide the laughs through his hapless attempts to gain Nina's attention - and eventually gets more comeuppance from Perrie. Andreas Nilsson makes a rare return to music videos with a characteristically weird and wonderful storyline for the first release from British rock band White Lies' forthcoming new album, Night Light.It's fifteen years or more since Nilsson was directing and creative directing for Fever Ray, ten-plus years since his acclaimed, off-the-wall videos for 2Chainz and Miike Snow. He has gone on to be a highly decorated commercials director, the winner of prety much every prize in adland for his memorable work for the likes of&nbsp;Apple, Old Spice, Uber Eats, Andrex, and Virgin Media. Now he's back in pop vids, with a Bangkok-set tale of heavy smoking and unusual dancing by a reanimated near-nude man.For the video for In The Middle, Nilsson leans heavily into intense&nbsp;atmosphere of the setting, the suffocating effect on the viewer of watching his cast of characters relentlessly puffing away on cigarettes, and the casting of actors who wear their richly lived lives with them on screen. The air is thick with heat, sweat&nbsp;and anticipation - a&nbsp;sea of bodies moves in perfect, chaotic sync at the best party on Carnival weekend.Femi Ladi brings this energy to life on screen by using a variety of stylistic camera techniques and setups to fully immerse the viewer in the moment. The aesthetic is encapsulated in the gorgeous glow of Stefan Yap's cinematography and Vlad Barin's grade that captures the sense of unbridled passion and&nbsp;intense heat&nbsp;in the movement&nbsp;of Leigh-Anne and her friends.&nbsp;And then comes the curveball, when a visual dominated by dance adds an edge of drama and mystery: Leigh-Anne's focus is disturbed by a passing female in red, starting a party of her own in the next room - who&nbsp;turns out to be her own&nbsp;alter-ego.It's an intriguing way to end the first release&nbsp;from this new chapter of Leigh-Anne's career.
