Bailey Tom Bailey directs a humorous tribute to 1920s and 30s&nbsp;horror in his promo for Haircut 100. Yes,&nbsp;that&nbsp;Haircut 100 <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAy-RxquZPk" target="_blank">who were&nbsp;big in the early 1980s</a>, returning with their first single in 40 years.Bailey's video for The Unloving Plum has the aesthetic of the original&nbsp;Frankenstein&nbsp;- or perhaps Mel Brooks'&nbsp;Young Frankenstein&nbsp;- complete with vintage black and white cinematography and old school effects, as the band frontman&nbsp;Nick Hayward plays a&nbsp;mad scientist in the midst of a gruesome experiment.Ultimately it's an excellent performance piece for the band's catchy single -&nbsp;and the style and Frankenstein&nbsp; concept is rather appropriate for a band that has miraculously reanimated after four decades.&nbsp;Good to have them back - even if Nick Hayward looks in need of a&nbsp;haircut.[imgtoken data:1]

India Harris reunites&nbsp;with Confidence Man&nbsp;and pulls off a stunning departure for the Aussie dance-pop duo, combining high energy and high concept for their latest banger.The video for So What opens on aerial shot of a London tower block, and begins to infinitely zoom, into the pair's high rise home, and through into a succession of scenarios, where they party, then after-party, then party again.Then in the second part of the film, Confidence Man's Grace stands on the roof of the tower block, then falls - continuing to energetically perform while plummeting back to earth - where the final section plays out in reverse.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Shot in London's hottest club venue, The Cause, with slick VFX, stylised&nbsp;cinematography&nbsp;and a dark, almost dystopian aesthetic,&nbsp;this comes in&nbsp;a stark contrast to the style of previous recent Confidence Man vids - including Harris's vibrant video for <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2023/08/08/dj-seinfeld-ft-confidence-man-now-u-do-india-harris/82744" target="_blank">Now U Do (with DJ Seinfeld)</a>. Brendan Cleaves directs a TV performance concept for indie-rock singer-songwriter Liz Lawrence, inspired by&nbsp;Top Of The Pops in the 1980s.The video for No One is a trip back to the halycon days of the music TV show, featuring a retro stage setting of a band performance, in which different versions of Liz make up all the bandmembers - a nice idea that was once employed by <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5nzLQ63c9E" target="_blank">Paul McCartney in the '80s.</a>With hypnotic filters and twinkling lights, Cleaves adds a further warmth and personality to the idea of a band comprised of multiple Liz Lawrences.
