Brock Neal Roberts directs a visual essay on family and music for Berwyn's Vega.The film explores&nbsp;the depth of who Berwyn is,&nbsp;and features all of the tracks contained in Berwyn's debut EP&nbsp; Demotapes - whilst also exploring his self-affiliation with the Vega star system.Effortlessly poignant and reflective, the documentary-style structure and touching vignettes build an engaging&nbsp;narrative of Berwyn's life story so far. When contrasted with&nbsp;images of the inconceivably vast universe around us, it also reminds viewers&nbsp;how important our individual stories are, and how they build the fabric of the world we inhabit.&nbsp;

How much would&nbsp;our lives matter at the end of the world? This is a question that is explored in great detail in the video for La Visage De La Nuit, directed by Raphael Levy.A couple living alone, after a tsunami ravages their city, go through the motions of everyday life - love, arguments, frustration, boredom. However the lingering issue of what they are meant to do and be in this society hangs above their heads, as they desperately search for meaning, to no avail. Yes they have each other, but does that help or hinder them, and in the end does it even matter at all?Standing hand in hand as a massive fireball blasts towards the beach they are standing on, their connection is evident. We get snapshots of memories of their lives together, both pre and post-apocalypse, which then extends into&nbsp;cosmic exploration and a massive existential crisis.&nbsp;Beautifully lensed by&nbsp;Tim Sidell, the world on screen looks and feels like the one we know, however the threat of extinction bubbles over at the halfway point, and this is represented through frenetic camerawork and quickfire&nbsp;editing. The performances are just as powerful, and we are left with the same questions we had at the beginning.&nbsp;

Charlotte Regan, recently named Shots Awards&rsquo; Young Director of the Year, shows exactly why she is so highly regarded in her new video for Wilkinson.&nbsp;It stars Thomas Turgoose of This Is England fame trying to make a connection with a girl who lives in his building. Negotiating numerous fellow residents along the way, and demonstrating his general good-egg qualities, Regan tells a story of a slowly budding romance from a single perspective. Everything takes place in the lift.&nbsp;What stands out is how Regan teases out the characters of her leads within a situation that, realistically enough, involves the rich tapestry of people who live in the building. And everyone else comes alive under her direction too. Impressive stuff.&nbsp; &nbsp;

Charlotte Regan&#39;s mesmerising video for Wretch 32&#39;s His And Hers takes the song&#39;s difficult subject matter - the angry verbal attack of a young man and the provoked response of his partner - and tackles it head-on.She simply dramatises it, adds characterisation to bring Wretch&#39;s blistering monlogues fully to life, and does so in a completely believeable manner.&nbsp;The setting for this descent into verbal war is a gritty cityscape&nbsp;- a car at night, and then a deserted street; the performances by Fady Elsayed Troika and&nbsp;Lauren Alexandra playing the couple are excellent; the ending adds a poignant visual touch that even goes beyond Wretch&#39;s words. A really powerful&nbsp;piece&nbsp;of work from the BAFTA-nominated Regan.&nbsp;

Joshua Lipworth takes Mark Lanegan&#39;s Emperor as his cue for an atmospheric tale of an Eastern European&nbsp; dictator nearing&nbsp;his demise - loosely based on the fall of the Romanian communist leader Ceaucescu.As the dictator imagines his loyal generals (and his young daughter) by his side, but in reality&nbsp;his mind is warped, and escape doomed to fail. Shot in 16mm on location in Estonia - in the suburbs of Tallin and the deserted&nbsp;underwater Soviet prison camp of Rummu - this is atmospheric, gritty character study of extreme delusion and the corrupting effect of power.&nbsp;
