Welcome to the world where only futuristic humanoid robots exist, and everyone worships the greatest humanoid robot racing driver:&nbsp;Crashtag.It's the latest blockbuster for Pink Noise directed by Kim Chapiron, and here co-directed by Paris VFX-studio CG supervisor Jehan Bouazza, based at top Paris VFX house Mathematic.Bouazza led Mathematic’s team of skilled artisans and animators throughout the nine-month production, encountering challenges in developing a modern and first of its kind music video world, solidifying a unique character design for Crashtag, and managing a high volume of assets required to create the racetrack arena.[imgtoken data:1]Lead Character Artist Camille Gurruchaga oversaw the creation of Crashtag, crafting the character’s background story and psychological profile to inform design decisions, while concept artists simultaneously developed the look of the environments, including the racetrack and larger arena. Once 'lookdev' was finalized, the team set out to produce the five-minute animated sequence, using Zbrush for modeling, Maya for animation, Substance Painter for textures, Nuke and Flame for compositing, Resolve for color grading, and Arnold for the final render. To bring the anthropomorphic Crashtag character to life, Mathematic motion captured a performance by Ladj Ly, the acclaimed French director of the 2019 film Les Misérables.&nbsp;Ly’s performance imprinted humanlike qualities – including a distinct personality and emotional warmth, when it comes to the crunch. Ben Miethke directs a compelling&nbsp;visual for Moderat's Fast Land, exploring a state of humanity facing an unknown future.&nbsp;The video presents a series of seemingly disjointed vignettes, which are tied together by the concept of humanity, and our place in the world we live in. These well-crafted scenes combine to create a real sense of unease and forboding.&nbsp;The concept attempts&nbsp;to strike a balance between alienated and natural human moments, between the macro and micro of what the human existence constitutes. It’s a reflection on an advancing urgency that defines our reality, which is triggered by accelerated technological advances.The reflective, often disconcerting imagery brilliantly encapsulates the emotion of feeling out of place and out of touch with one's existence and place in society, and the vignettes, shifting styles of cinematography and VFX elevates this mood.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;

Orelsan gets introspective in&nbsp;Fantômes, directed by Luke Monaghan.&nbsp;Dark and stylish, the video centres around a group of residents all staring up at an accommodation block, where Orelsan is confined to his room as he performs. Lyrically dealing with friends and acquaintances who have become ghosts in his life, the haunting vibe stretches to the outdoors, where he appears with a group of silhouettes who back up his frenetic performance.&nbsp;Interesting aesthetically, the visual is a great match to the track and does well in representing the sombre tone of the new album.&nbsp;

Jessy Moussallem has written and directed a new film for songs from electronic artist Damian Lazarus &amp; The Ancient Moons&#39; new album Heart Of Sky, which opens up a little-known&nbsp;world - the farming communities that cultivate and harvest Lebanese Red hashish in the Bekaa valley, between the mountains of eastern Lebanon - and plays in the spaces between documentary and fiction.It&#39;s a moving portrait of the people&nbsp;who work the fields of the illegal industry, and the realities of their lives. But Lebanese filmmaker Moussalem adds a level of cinematic experimentation to the raw intimacy. She was given&nbsp;free rein to work with the music of Damian Lazarus &amp; The Ancient Moons, using sounds and samples. The film, a co-production between Phantasm Paris,&nbsp;Clandestino Films and Caviar London, features numerous tracks from their new album.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

And now he&#39;s on both sides of the camera for the first time, for Stromae&#39;s team-up with French rapper Orelsan.The result is a very cool, entertaining VFX-enhanced performance video for La Pluie, that sees the partners in a number of eyecatching&nbsp;scenarios from a flooded supermarket aisle&nbsp;to a bus stop packed with people like a can of sardines, the back of a drifting boy racer to walking on the tops of umbrellas.It&#39;s a video that channels an old school hop hop video style&nbsp;and gives it a distinctly European feel. And it&#39;s very good to see the super-talented Stromae on camera again.
