Welcome to a very Gaspar Noé type of nightmare for The Weeknd's collaboration with pioneering electronic musician and producer Giorgio Moroder.This is no Noé-influenced piece either, but the unmistakeable work of the man himself, a combination of eye-bleeding visual assault and unsettling, disorientating strangeness. An elderly man staggers through a deserted virtual city under a sky of Northern Lights gone haywire, in which the giant sculpted heads of the two artists revolve.In Abel Tesfaye's long and distinguished track record of music videos this has to be the most uncompromising yet in terms of the visual aesthetic. Never has a 'flashing lights' warning at the start of a video been more justified. Top marks for giving the fanbase something outside their comfort zone.&nbsp;

Anton Tammi returns to music videos with an astonishing, VFX-fired fantastic journey into inner worlds - and an epic revelation of the cover artwork of Justice's new album.&nbsp;In the video for One Night/All Night - the Justice collab with Tame Impala - we are plunged into the organic matter of a pumping heart, and then other organs, bones and flesh, fused with smooth surfaces and sharp edges of&nbsp;metallic material.As science fiction meets the human body, the focus moves from the microscopic to something wider and the constatnly moving camera finally reveals the full picture - an illuminated skeleton, pulsing with life within a transparent coffin in the&nbsp;familiar shape of the Justice cross...&nbsp;It's a two minute tour de force of VFX from the acclaimed Finnish director and his talented team of animators and CGI artists.

Welcome to the world where only futuristic humanoid robots exist, and everyone worships the greatest humanoid robot racing driver:&nbsp;Crashtag.It's the latest blockbuster for Pink Noise directed by Kim Chapiron, and here co-directed by Paris VFX-studio CG supervisor Jehan Bouazza, based at top Paris VFX house Mathematic.Bouazza led Mathematic’s team of skilled artisans and animators throughout the nine-month production, encountering challenges in developing a modern and first of its kind music video world, solidifying a unique character design for Crashtag, and managing a high volume of assets required to create the racetrack arena.[imgtoken data:1]Lead Character Artist Camille Gurruchaga oversaw the creation of Crashtag, crafting the character’s background story and psychological profile to inform design decisions, while concept artists simultaneously developed the look of the environments, including the racetrack and larger arena. Once 'lookdev' was finalized, the team set out to produce the five-minute animated sequence, using Zbrush for modeling, Maya for animation, Substance Painter for textures, Nuke and Flame for compositing, Resolve for color grading, and Arnold for the final render. To bring the anthropomorphic Crashtag character to life, Mathematic motion captured a performance by Ladj Ly, the acclaimed French director of the 2019 film Les Misérables.&nbsp;Ly’s performance imprinted humanlike qualities – including a distinct personality and emotional warmth, when it comes to the crunch.
