Charlie Lightening helms the first of a series of visuals for returning singer-songwriter Katie Melua, featuring actor Billy Howie (Star Wars, Dunkirk, MotherFatherSon).Howie plays Katie's dashing suitor, although the exact nature of their relationship remains something of a mystery in this sumptuous slow-burn of a video for A Love Like That, featuring splendid cinematography from Daniel Lightening (brother of Charlie).&nbsp;&nbsp;The song&nbsp;is the first to be taken from the forthcoming studio album Album No. 8, a record that represents the culmination of a prolonged period of musical rediscovery for Katie Melua. Her discussion with Charlie Lightening about the accompanying video project began during the first few weeks of lockdown,&nbsp;and the&nbsp;shoot took place over two days in Reculver, Herne Bay last month, following APA lockdown guidelines.Katie Melua and actor Billy Howie isolated before and after the shoot to enable the scenes to be possible, as well as being tested for COVID-19.

In one of the more surprising team-ups in recent pop video history, avid Man City fan Liam Gallagher shares the screen with&nbsp;Man United legend Eric Cantona in Charlie Lightening’s rather brilliant video for Once. In fact, Liam hands performing duties to Eric, and himself takes a surprisingly deferential role. But that&nbsp;turns out to be a genius move, possibly his coolest and most confident move in years.&nbsp;Gallagher plays the side man here - butler and chauffeur - as Cantona is a wonderfully -realised version of the King Eric who bestrode English football like a colossus in the Nineties. He's older, and very fond of the red wine, but still very much in regal shape as he swans through his huge, ostentatiously rock n roll white manor house, lipsyncing the lyrics of Once.This is&nbsp;a great part for Cantona,&nbsp;and his skill and aplomb is made more apparent by the fact its captured in one&nbsp;single Steadicam shot - or is it a drone? On that side of things, it's not unfair to say that there is a bit of 1917-style ingenuity going on here, courtesy of DoP Daniel Lightening, and Steadicam operator Matt Allsop. Superb.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

For the US release of Are You Ready, Richard Ashcroft and Big Life Management commissioned Giorgio Testi for the promo - to be created out of live footage from a show at Shepherd's Bush Empire.
"The idea was to make it very cinematic whist keeping its live vibe," says Giorgio. "So I went for loads of slow motion shots, dolly tracks on stage, film grain, and darkness. I tried to keep the edit pace very slow and classic, using the majority of shots coming from camera angles close to the artists, to make this performance very intimate.
"We decided to apply an extreme crop on the image and use some split screen here and there, inspired by the timeless live performance by The Who at Woodstock."
