Here&#39;s a hell of a &#39;what if&#39; scenario: what if Iggy Pop narrated a nature documentary wherein the animal essentially plays the part of Josh Brolin in the first part of No Country For Old Men?Well, wonder no more. Casper Balslev&#39;s video for Alt-J&#39;s In Cold Blood starts off innocently enough. It&#39;s the intrepid, wily adventures of your average wood mouse, and it&#39;s&nbsp;beautifully shot and majestically paced like the best the BBC can offer - right&nbsp;up until the point where our cute little mousey pal scuttles over a still-fresh disembodied human hand and into the aftermath of what we can only assume was a deal gone very bad indeed.As far as narrative left-turns go, this one is loaded with visual hooks and mysteries to unpack. But essentially the moral is clear: the dangers faced by the plucky mouse in the natural world, pale in comparison to the darkness perpetrated by humankind.

Casper Balslev returns to music videos with this knowing hodge-podge of lovely visuals shot on various formats revealing the alleged intimate lives of Danish band&nbsp;Communions, whose song It&#39;s Like Air comes across like a great longlost 90s Britpop anthem by Suede or Blur.The VHS montage sees the video skipping between the band having a kick about, rehearsing, and hanging around a race track. With its split screen home video aesthetic, the video is as referential as the guitar pop that soundtracks it.

The second half of&nbsp;Shynola&#39;s unusual&nbsp;double-video project&nbsp;for Raleigh Ritchie&#39;s Bloodsport &#39;15 is finally released &ndash;&nbsp;and it&#39;s darker, more violent, but also&nbsp;more zanily comedic than we might have expected.&nbsp;In <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2015/08/12/raleigh-ritchie-bloodsport-15-shynola" target="_blank">Part 1</a>, we followed an impossibly&nbsp;anguished&nbsp;Raleigh, as he engaged in some unhinged post-breakup behaviour. But within the confines of his flat, his&nbsp;actions remain relatively innocuous,&nbsp;such as&nbsp;talking to a face drawn on paper, cutting up his ex&#39;s clothes, and&nbsp;hugging high-heels to his chest right after tossing them in the toilet.This second episode sees him railing against the world and turning into a&nbsp;murderous sniper, literally shooting everyone&#39;s head off from his rooftop vantage point. But there&#39;s a cartoonish element to the live action&nbsp;carnage: heads trained within Raleigh&#39;s sights&nbsp;are replaced by a pink blob, as his rifle works&nbsp;like a more destructive version of cupid&#39;s bow and arrow.And then it turns out he&#39;s not the only rooftop shooter...&nbsp;

French singer ALB has impressive previous form when it comes to interactive videos - his project for <a href="http://www.albgoldenchains.com/" target="_blank">Golden Chains</a>, where users could buy items featured in the video,&nbsp;won an MVA in 2012. But his new one for Whispers, directed by Casper Balslev, just stands apart &ndash; even among interactive videos.For a start, the project&nbsp;- which was conceived by&nbsp;Julien Boissinot and Kevin Salembier at CLM BBDO, with film production by Frenzy in Paris and&nbsp;digital production by ACNE in Sweden &ndash; &nbsp;is claiming to be the first ever &#39;Trojan Horse Music Video&#39;. And&nbsp;with good reason. Without giving too much away, things aren&#39;t quite what they seem. For a start, this appears to be a straightforward linear&nbsp;video, about an invasion of a young woman, multiplied numerous times and dangerously armed, into a family home, via a strange wooden box - and clearly intent on confronting the man of the house. That&#39;s impressive in itself.&nbsp;But to watch it, you have to download it - and get the music for free in the process.&nbsp;It&#39;s&nbsp;only when the video is nearly finished that the full extent of the invasion becomes clear - its not just in the video, it&#39;s in your computer. In fact, a fairly benign yet still chilling form of hacking happens here, which may lead&nbsp;your loved one to&nbsp;wonder why you suddently have lots of pictures, and emails, and calendar appointments,&nbsp;from a young woman called Helen...&nbsp;&nbsp;Bloody clever, an eye-opener, and a bit shocking. Just like that other Trojan Horse.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

After Casper Balslev directed a very appealing one-minute taster-promo for Oh My!'s <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/2011/03/30/oh-mys-run-this-town-the-teaser-by-casper-balslev/" target="_blank">Run This Town</a> it seemed like a good idea to get him to make a full video. That's exactly what Casper's now done for Kicking And Screaming, where English pop video meets quirky Scandinavian indie vid. 
A refreshing mix of styles, and certainly gives this feisty pair an independent, slightly dangerous edge.

Oh My! 'Kicking And Screaming' by Casper Balslev

Powerlessness and desperation are the twin pillars of Jeppe Kolstrup's video for Danish band Carpark North's Everything Starts Again - emotions that stem very much from the video's location: it was shot in Greenland, by Jeppe and his DoP Niels Thastum. Nice place to visit; you just wouldn't want to live there. 
But it wouldn't have been possible without the local kids who helped out, after Jeppe and Niels were unable to arrive due to ash clouds in drifting from Iceland. They succeeded in doing a casting, location scouting and shooting in two days in and around Nuuk.
The band are certainly impressed. "Rarely it happens that a song grows larger with a video, but it happened here," says Carpark North's Søren Balsner, "Jeppe told us a story about the cemetery in the video and all the young people who are there due to suicide because they can not get away - can't get anywhere. 'Everything Starts Again' has become so much stronger and more important than we ever intended. Whether this has been a deliberate act from Jeppe, or not, it's an amazing experience."
The band became known among music video lovers when Martin De Thurah created his debut video for the Carpark North single, Human. Lately the band have been touring all over Europe with 30 Seconds To Mars and released their world wide debut Lost at Sony Music.
