KODE have announced the signing of London-based filmmaker and writer Nicolee Tsin, to their music video roster for UK representation.Born and raised in Hong Kong, Tsin champions representation across all areas of film and photography, striving to tell the stories of underrepresented communities in her eclectic work. This includes music videos for Tom Santa, Sola, Amun and Eloise, and branded content for Nike.Inspired by her upbringing in Hong Kong, Tsin’s work takes inspiration from the plentiful colours, sounds and images that shape her memories of the place where she grew up. Her current work embodies a unique fusion of Eastern and Western influences and cultures, celebrating the differences and nuances that shape stories and communities.&nbsp;Nicolee’s distinct practice investigates notions of identity, culture and experiences that are unique to underrepresented communities. Nicolee Tsin directs a hyper-energetic promo for Tom Santa's Rainfall (Praise You).&nbsp;Sampling the iconic Mary J Blige hit, the track is a bouncy amalgam of nostalgic&nbsp;and contemporary beats, and the video plays with this same contrast.&nbsp;We see a group of friends discover an old video camera, and proceed to document every aspect of their lives and adventures, interspersed with stylish photography and freeze-frames of the action.&nbsp;Tsin travelled to her home city of Hong Kong to direct the visual, with a local crew across a week of madness, in collaboration with local production company Pissbaby.&nbsp;

Eloise tries to move on from her past in the dreamy promo for Hungover, directed by Nicolee Tsin.&nbsp;Letting loose in a sun-drenched apartment building, we see the artist and two dancers move swiftly through several laidback vignettes, taking time for some R&amp;R after the breakup of a relationship.&nbsp;DoP&nbsp;Carmen Pellon matches the relaxed energy with gentle camera movement and bright, organic lighting, creating a dreamlike aesthetic where worries can melt away."Hungover is about reminiscing and forgetting an ex-lover," explains Tsin.&nbsp;"I wanted to capture moments where we indulge in quintessential pleasures - we dance freely in front of the mirror, we dress up, we daydream and wonder if we could be a kid again..."They gently reminds us to feel comfortable in our own skin and have a little more fun, just as the way Eloise makes us feel in her music."

Nicolee Tsin directs a&nbsp;moving vignette of interrelated characters migrating and crossing paths, in her promo for Palindrome's Birds.&nbsp;Isolated to the world around them, these&nbsp;characters exist in a plane separate to their surroundings, in search of love, escape and meaning in the city of London.Stalked by an omnipresent camera, we are offered glimpses into each person's narrative, before being torn away to another timeline as soon as we get comfortable. Though this is done in a soft, subtle way in the video, it could represent the way society lets 'shiny object syndrome' bleed into our relationships with other people - as soon as something better or more interesting comes along, we can cut any previous ties and pick up where we left off with someone new.&nbsp;The concept is a beautiful and thought-provoking one, with stunningly executed cinematography from DoP&nbsp;Miguel Carmenes.&nbsp;

Hong Kong rapper JBO is talking tough as he gives a girl the brush off in Movin On - but Nicolee Tsin's video suggests that, behind the bravura,&nbsp;he's actually feeling quite differently.&nbsp;The video is set in a traditional Tong Lau in Hong Kong - in fact, it is the family home that DoP Etienne Leung’s grandmother grew up in. Hoarded with nostalgic items, overly used paisley sheets and tucked away laundry bags, its an incongruous location for the song's subject. The result feels like a Polaroid: a snapshot of a moment that visually reminds us of a bygone era, at the same time, a speculation into JBO’s inner emotions and personal relationships.
