But it becomes increasingly clear there is a blurring of the line&nbsp;between documentary and fiction.&nbsp;The black and white photojournalism style&nbsp;presenting images from 20th century America&nbsp;becomes increasingly offbeat and chilling. Its true origin becoming more obvious, and eventually incorporating elements of Cronenberg-inspired body horror.This has been brilliantly achieved by Maxim Kelly - who has a track record&nbsp;of both using and manipulating stock footage in his videos - and creates a building intensity and dread through a series of extraordinary images.The uncanny and disturbing aspect of this is how&nbsp;the AI-ness of the piece is rarely revealed. There is some similarity with&nbsp;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnDm9w2F3KE&amp;t=12s" target="_blank">Andrew Dominick's recent video for the classic Nick Cave track&nbsp;Tupelo</a>, which manipulates early photos of Elvis Presley. If anything the fake reality seems more 'real' here than in the Cave film.&nbsp; "The song is about lies and deception, so I made the video itself a form of deception," explains Kelly. "Everything looks like trusted documentary photography, but it's entirely artificial. The medium becomes the message."[imgtoken data:1]

We decided to lean into the feel of classic, iconic pop rock videos, looking for reference within simple yet effective music videos that go back to basics: a stunning location, strong visuals and a captivating performance to lead the video."We shot the video with almost entirely natural light, so we were working to the mercy of the sun as our gaffer on this one! We had sun, clouds, rain and rainbows show up during the shoot and we were banking on a golden sunset, which thankfully we got."The changes in weather throughout the shoot lead to an eclectic array of backdrops for the video. Stephen Agnew teams up with South London alt-rock agitators Fat Dog to create a remarkable, trippy six minute epic about the mind-boggling antics of a bunch of cow skull-worshipping misfits, for the band's third single&nbsp;Running.&nbsp;The hugely ambitious video chronicles the rise and rise of this offbeat group, utilizing a range of cinematic styles and influences&nbsp;as they progress from beach-dwelling hippies (who discover the aforementioned cow skull) to tracksuit-wearing cultists - and way, way beyond.Agnew taps into his wide repertoire of influences - Heavens Gate, the films of Dario Argento and David Icke's wardrobe, to name a few -&nbsp;and love of horror and folk stories for a visual experience which is both intense and&nbsp;unhinged, and perfectly complementary to Fat Dog's brilliant track.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;From the beautifully realised opening section in stark monochrome and boxy framing, Agnew introduces colour and widescreen cinematography as the cow skull worshippers settle into a comfortable suburban&nbsp;existence - and start to develop special powers.&nbsp;Through the off-the wall narrative and wonderfully feverish edit by Thomas Goldser, Agnew keeps raises questions, and just keeps you guessing what will happen next.&nbsp;It just&nbsp;keeps hurtling forward, culminating in&nbsp;a data-moshed sequence with the impact of&nbsp;an intrusive CT scan, followed by&nbsp;a mysterious spoken-word coda.&nbsp;Fat Dog look like being one of the most exciting new bands this year&nbsp;and Agnew's video -&nbsp;conjuring both the energetic, fizzing ferocity of an early 2000s indie gem, with the claws and snarl of a late stage capitalism nightmare - will help put them on the map, fair and square. A must-watch.
