Lewis Cater follows the enigmatic promo for <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2023/01/26/shinedown-dead-dont-die-lewis-cater/80130">Dead Don't Die</a> with another Shinedown collaboration - this time for A Symptom Of Being Human.&nbsp;The video deals with the unique yet universal challenges that are part and parcel of being human, touching upon anxiety, the cost of living&nbsp;and the overarching search for meaning in the everyday.&nbsp;Visually representing the highs and lows of life, the video focuses on a young girl, who discovers a book in a grand library with completely blank pages. She soon projects her fear and anxieties onto the page, until a breakthrough moment shines a light on the brighter side of life, and the friends who help her navigate the storm.[imgtoken data:1]The slick, filmic aesthetic perfectly contrasts the golden light of the library with the cold, clouded gloom of her fear vignettes, and the central performance helps marry the different setups to great effect.&nbsp;&nbsp;"There’s something quite magical about filming in London in December and we quite literally captured this underneath the festive glow of Westminster," Cater explains. "We were blessed with such an amazing team who stepped straight onto this after we wrapped on the Dead Don’t Die video."

Lewis Cater directs a minacious promo for Shinedown, where under the ominous surveillance of an unspecified evil, the US rock band&nbsp;look fear straight in the eye.&nbsp;The video for Dead Don't Die jumps between a rowdy performance section in an ornate structure, and enigmatic vignettes with frontman Brett, where various weapons and objects hang mid-air, threatening to break through and injure him - but unable to do so.It's a thrilling addition to both the band and Cater's videography, and packed full of filmic moments and great performances.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;&nbsp;"We shot the video for Dead Don’t Die straight after the band’s Wembley headline show last month," Cater says.&nbsp;"It was a special shoot as it was the first time that the band had shot a video outside of United States."It’s a video about resilience, the strong-willed, the bend but never break human spirit. "This is a real telling off to those trashy lovers and wannabe rockstar heartbreakers."&nbsp;Fashionable, theatrical and fun, it's a brilliant video with plenty of attitude to boot.

Raja Virdi explores the thin line between good and bad for the big&nbsp;team-up of Marshmello, Mae Muller and Trippie Redd.&nbsp;The video for American Psycho takes place in a series of stylish custom-built sets, with a red and white colour scheme which represents the dichotomy of a toxic relationship.&nbsp;Muller and Redd thrive in their unique setups, and Virdi's use of dynamic transitions, animated elements and rhythmic editing keeps the video constantly engaging.[imgtoken data:1]"It was such a pleasure to direct this promo," says Virdi. "I'd been wanting to do a concept like this for a while and glad it fit the song so well. I love the themes of duality, and seeing the difference performance states of Mae between the red toxic sets and the white angelic sets."I really wanted to move the camera seamlessly between the spaces, keeping the visual constantly engaging with how we reveal new moments."Collaborating with my regular DOP Pieter Snyman and the insanely talented production designer Sarah Asmail&nbsp;ensured we found the rhythm for the piece and how best to give each space a unique feel for each artist on the song.[imgtoken data:2]"The turnaround was immense for this one with needing to shoot and deliver all within a week. But thanks to an insanely talented crew, we just about got there&nbsp;- albeit with little to no sleep, lol. Noel Paul directs an ethereal promo for British pop duo Let's Eat Grandma, for their very timely new release, Happy New Year.&nbsp;Taking place in an indoor tennis court, we see the duo - made up of&nbsp;Rosa Walton and Jenny Hollingworth - face off in a tennis match, intermittently exchanging lines of the track between serves.&nbsp;There is a surreality to the concept, as balls hover mid-air, waiting to be hit, and the pair's bodies seem to ragdoll with every strike.&nbsp;There is also a certain level of apathy to the girls' performances - until they&nbsp;reconnect, start smashing their rackets and appear on an outdoor court, under a parade of fireworks.&nbsp;The abstract concept perfectly suits the spacey&nbsp;soundscapes of the track, aesthetically reminiscent of a parallel universe where things don't&nbsp;make sense, but are absolutely mesmerising to watch and experience.&nbsp;
