&quot;Life is just a series of moments&quot;&nbsp;is a truism that has been humorously illustrated by&nbsp;Benjamin Mège and&nbsp;Jean-Philippe Chartrand - aka Dent de Cuir -&nbsp;in their video&nbsp;for&nbsp;Breakbot&#39;s Get Lost.In real time, the action in this little story would take only a few seconds, but the promo sees the story build as a series of rythmic, gif-like repetitions of key moments between a couple&#39;s&nbsp;pronouncement of marriage and their first kiss as newlyweds.Turns out, a lot of unfortunate things&nbsp;can happen in a few seconds, namely&nbsp;the bride being exposed as a cheater and&nbsp;the best man getting sucker-punched. But at least the&nbsp;altar boy had a good day!

Anthony Jorge &amp; Jonathan Cohen &ndash; better known as directing duo&nbsp;Truman &amp; Cooper &ndash; were named Best New Director at the recent UK Music Video Awards. Now comes their new video&nbsp;for Rag N Bone Man&#39;s Hell Yeah - and&nbsp;further&nbsp;evidence why they earned that accolade.&nbsp;&nbsp;Not only is this a searing drama that grips from start to finish, it&#39;s delivered in a highly original fashion. The harrowing story is concerned with a young man and woman&#39;s plan to kill their violent father, about to leave jail. It shares the intensity, and the excellent nuanced performances seen in the pair&#39;s previous work for&nbsp;Kid Wise&#39;s Hope (also an award-winner at this year&#39;s MVAs) and Son Lux.But then there&#39;s the added abstraction of having all the action, including flashbacks, occur in one exterior airfield-style location. It&#39;s&nbsp;an initially disconcerting but&nbsp;ingenious Lars Von Trier-style conceit that if anything, heightens the drama further. And it all leads to a white-knuckle&nbsp;climax. What a great way to follow-up the MVAs.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The French directing duo J.A.C.K. travelled to the mountains of Vercors to make their impressively haunting&nbsp;video for Champs&#39; St. Peters,&nbsp;about a man on the run, who cheats death, but not himself.It starts with a deserter (played by Damien Bonnard) who gets lost in the forest, and dying with exhaustion - only to duplicate into a living body, to continue his journey. It turns out he has at least nine lives - but this way leads to madness...It&#39;s a compelling story told in an epic landscape - and photographed by award-winning DoP Mathieu Plainfosse. It&#39;s also well suited to the haunting folk-rock of the Isle of Wight band of brothers Champs, whose debut album Down Like Gold is out on PIAS Recordings.

Arnaud and Vincent shot the characters, and built a realistic CGI city around them, at Fortiche in Paris. "We wanted to plunge the spectator into an ambience that was at once nocturnal, urban and melancholic," explain Arnaud and Vincent, who were influenced by the atmospheric cityscapes of the 80s movies of Brian de Palma (and therefore, of course, by Hitchcock). "The protagonists are alone in their homes, somewhere between a dream state and a habitual one, occupied by the 'little nothings' that make up everyday life."
