Shot just before the pandemic hit and the lockdown came to New York, Run The Jewels collaborated with Brian Beletic and&nbsp;Vanessa Beletic to&nbsp;create&nbsp;an anti-capitalist blockbuster for Ooh LA LA, the duo's collaboration with hip hop legends Greg Nice and DJ Premier, and the first single from the upcoming album RTJ4.Featuring&nbsp;a legion of dancers, a fleet of hot air balloons, cameos from&nbsp;Greg Nice, DJ Premier, and Rage Against the Machine frontman Zack de la Rocha, what sets this apart from virtually all other sumptuously-produced hip hop videos is its central, revolutionary&nbsp;concept. Cash money&nbsp;is no object - not as a signifier of wealth, but because it no longer has any value whatsoever.This is the party to end all parties - to celebrate a 'post-money' world, where everyone can survive&nbsp;without the green stuff, so they can pile it high and burn the lot. The Beletics drive this home by using much of the familiar iconography of music videos - where the Almighty Dollar is treated with fetishistic reverence and burning piles of cash is an admirable sign of&nbsp;extreme wealth - and then subverting that cliché.&nbsp;This is refreshingly cheeky example of social commentary without the&nbsp;moral guilt attached, and&nbsp;RTJ's El-P and Killer Mike lead this hoe-down to celebrate the idealistic triumph of hip-hop socialism with considerable gusto and evident glee - aided by the fact that Ooh LA LA is an absolute banger which augurs well for the rest of their new magnum opus.In the wake of Covid-19, the group have also been sharing weekly free downloadable activity and colouring books, and just last week released an exclusive new line of T-shirts as a fundraiser for their tour crew, who are out of work until the duo’s postponed world tour with Rage Against the Machine gets underway.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;&nbsp;RUN THE JEWELS:“We shot this video only a few weeks before the pandemic hit with no clue as to what the future held. Greg Brunkalla&#39;s new video for The Avalanches is a &#39;70s New York throwback full of heart and soul, that&nbsp;observes the aesthetics of the movies of the time, then gives it a slight contemporary tweak.It&#39;s all set in one New York subway station, and a boy still barely in his teens - very&nbsp;Michael Jackson, circa 1972 &ndash; is&nbsp;trying his very best to win the affections of the incredibly disinterested woman working behind the ticket desk.&nbsp;With amazing dancing by the boy ,&nbsp;a guest appearance by vocalist Cheeba from Camp Lo, and&nbsp;a whole brass section joining the kid to take&nbsp;this grand romantic gesture to the hilt, it seems sure that he must get the ticket booth lady&#39;s attention in the end. Right?&nbsp;

The next stage in Miley Cyrus' bid to throw off her tweenie image drops in the form of this lavish, in-yer-face performance promo at the hands of Robert Hales.
The promo - a visual feast of elaborate costumes, set designs and choreography - features languid visual effects from Mothership sister company Digital Domain which created, amongst other things, massive digital raven wings for the chanteuse.
""This was a true collaboration," says Robert. "Miley knows exactly what she wants. She came up with the bird concept, and said to me, 'I don't want a bright poppy video. I want blacks and blues and golds; I want it dark'. I built a style and story around that based on references mostly from nature -- birds of paradise and creatures -- along with bits of couture styling. During the shoot she was brilliant. She gave me something different with every take. 
The production was shot live on a sound stage with Digital Domain (Mothership's sister company) creating CG set extensions, matte paintings (including a field of digital peacock wings) and the smoky 'destroyed' museum environment in the closing shot. 
"VFX Supervisor Jay Barton is incredible," says Robert. "He got completely into character, miming the action of the wings to the animators. He has a great sense of presentation, timing, grace and drama, which as a VFX supervisor, is a brilliant skill to have. He and his VFX team didn't just take directions; they made the music video better. I'm insanely fortunate. Being on Mothership's roster means I have access to the caliber of talent, resources and relationships that Digital Domain has - it's jobs like this that remind me why I make music videos -- aside from the fact that it makes me a hero to my three nieces!"

Producer Jannie McInnes from Revolver Film Company says that Wendy was inspired by a visit to Africa a year or so ago, although "the video's location was to read as an anonymous magic frontier." But she knew she could find some amazing dancers in Jamaica following her experience working in Kingston late last year.
"We saw a lot of fantastic people but our absolute favourite was Sashi Empire, a dance crew of six guys who comprise the core group of talent in the video including the lead guy, Kemar," Jannie explains. One of the additional solo dancers was Mystic, the lead girl in the video. 
"We had the brilliant choreographer Sho-tyme with us, who was great with structuring the movement and he encouraged the dancers to bring their own flavour to the music which made for some of the coolest moves. Luckily for us, the cast was so talented, they where able to freestyle amazingly and also move and express within the narrative of the video perfectly."
