George Belfield&#39;s video for Richard Hawley&#39;s majestic Don&#39;t Stare At The Sun has a compelling, almost wilfully simple concept. These are scenes from ordinary life, each lingering shot takes in the back of someone&#39;s head. These are people in contemplation, whereever they are. And they do offer a reflective mood that gels with Hawley&#39;s trademark melodious delivery. But it also becomes increasingly intense...The young director, who directed the impressive video for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/2011/11/21/dva-ft-vikter-duplaix-madness-by-george-belfield/" target="_blank">DVA&#39;s Madness</a> just over a year ago, shot this over three days in and around Hawley&#39;s hometown of Sheffield, working with local street-cast people, and shooting on 35mm film.
