The spotlit performance in Ben Thornley&#39;s video for Kill J&nbsp;is punctuated with light drawings and bursts of colour that reflect the bonds between science and religion, according to the Scandinavian artist.&quot;The video is supposed to illustrate the theme of the song, which is when in a crisis, you can find calm and centeredness in the laws of nature in the same way we do in religion,&quot; says Kill J. &quot;Gravity&nbsp;is a prayer. Experiencing the weight of your body being drawn down or into another larger body (in our case, the earth) is a peaceful comfort &ndash; a relief from anxiety. Because no one and nothing is alone. Everything is constantly being pulled, pushed or drawn towards other bodies. The forces of the universe makes sure it.&quot;The light drawings in the video are supposed to illustrate the many similarities between religion and science. &quot;The symmetry in religious ornamentation is not so different from the scientific formulas and illustrations we find in science. And in a way, for me, they often tell the same story. I am not religious in a traditional sense, but I have faith. I believe, that science will save us all in the end and deliver us from evil and heartache.&quot;​

For his reading of Depeche Mode&#39;s I Feel You - released to mark <a href="http://recordstoreday.co.uk/" target="_blank">Record Store Day 2015 </a>tomorrow (April 18th) - Johnny Marr teams up with director David Barnes for this cool, energetic performance&nbsp;promo.Barnes, who previously directed three videos for the ex-Smiths guitarist, shoots Johnny and his band playing in an infinite black space employing a creative use of lighting and staging and photographic techniques like negative and double exposure.&nbsp;&ldquo;Johnny is an amazing performer who isn&rsquo;t afraid to be experimental,&quot; says David.&nbsp;&quot;He&rsquo;ll&nbsp;do things like crawl along the floor mid-song in order to give an edgy twist to a straightforward performance video.&rdquo;

Having directed videos for the likes of Deaf Havana and Kerrang! best newcomers In Case Of Fire, Ben Thornley and Paul Burrows were approached by Fightstar to direct the video for A City On Fire. 

So the band's performance (shot at Panalux in Bolton) is framed against the impressive LED-tube backdrop, while cutaways to interestingly tampered billboards offers a thought-provoking commentary on the nature of our surveillance-obsessed, politically-neutered society.
