A man struggling with depression starts to make a change in Better Man, directed by Hobby Holmes.&nbsp;In a room soaked in golden sunlight, a man is sat with his head in his hands, completely broken and unable to function. As he starts to explore the room and heads to the window to look outside, he starts to familiarise himself with the textures of the curtains and&nbsp;the way the light falls into the room. By focusing on these small details, he empowers himself to take slow steps forward towards a change.As the video progresses, his movements become larger and larger, until he is&nbsp;dancing in jerky movements with only a hint of hesitation.&nbsp;He gets outside and sprints into the forest - still unsure of himself, but continuing to put one foot in front of the other regardless.Hobby Holmes has created a very poignant and realistic tale of depression, and respectfully doesn't tie things up with a happy, storybook ending - that is not how depression works. What this video does show is the power we have within ourselves, and how one tiny step forward can be the first movement towards a happier, more fulfilling life.&nbsp;

Photographer and DP&nbsp;turned director Ricky Patel has delivered this&nbsp;short documentary capturing a glimpse into the daily grind of gold mining in Zimbabwe -&nbsp;doubling up as a music video for London duo Subculture Sage&#39;s track Gold.&nbsp;Presented with an opportunity to document a rare and fascinating but brutally strenuous&nbsp;process, Ricky visited Redchurch, Zimbabwe with Wet Plate photographer Mike Simpson and shot the film&nbsp;to accompany the release of the Subculture&nbsp;Sage&#39;s&nbsp;Big Smoke Autumn Blues mixtape.
