Colin Solal Cardo follows his <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2022/11/21/kimbra-replay-colin-solal-cardo/79358">hypnotic promo for Kimbra</a> with something much more down to Earth, in this breezy, uplifting&nbsp;piece&nbsp;for&nbsp;Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.&nbsp;The video for Easy Now features Milly Alcock (of&nbsp;House Of Dragons fame), and sees her character move from despair to euphoria, as she tears up the streets of London.Watched over by Gallagher himself - who chills on the sidelines, in a brief yet very welcome cameo - the video is anchored by a wonderful performance from Alcock, as she jumps on cars, disrupts groups of pigeons and eventually does a victorious run down the middle of the road, full of glee.&nbsp;A poignant concept which cements the fact that music has the ability to transcend, elevate and pull you out of yourself on the darkest of days.[imgtoken data:1][imgtoken data:2]

A young woman pours the ashes of&nbsp;her beloved late mother into her running shoes and leaves her suburban home - wielding a pole vaulter's pole - in a race against time...Hard Drive Gold, the latest release ahead of alt-J's fourth album The Dream (out on Feb 11th)&nbsp;has a video that follows in the tradition of the band's consistently excellent track record in visuals - particularly those that put a different spin on dramatic suspense. In this case, it comes from a new directing duo, consisting of&nbsp;an alt-J bandmember and his partner: Newman-Wallace are the band's singer and guitarist&nbsp;Joe Newman, and&nbsp;choreographer Darcy Wallace.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;We follow the young woman - played by Ellie McCartney - as she drags the pole from her garage, and then pounds through nearly empty suburban streets with it, as if she is on the longest-ever pole vaulter's run-up. This striking image is made even more mysterious by the&nbsp;context - the imminence of a nuclear attack and, as a result, the mostly panic-stricken behaviour of her neighbours.[imgtoken data:1]Finally she reaches her destination - but can she complete her leap before the missiles strike?Newman-Wallace's highly cinematic directing debut was shot by Krzysztof Trojnar, and executive produced by Andrew Law, longtime commissioner of alt-J's videos, now head of music and special projects at&nbsp;Biscuit Filmworks."It was a great privilege to work with Joe and Darcy on their debut piece of filmmaking,which I think is a brilliant music video that stands tall next to the rest of the band's enviable canon of work," says Law. Olivia Rose directs a glittering festive promo for Jess Glynne's This Christmas.&nbsp;Following a variety of hapless characters, all experiencing their own mini-Christmas disasters - with burnt food and flaming hair taking the lead - the promo is a charming, fun-filled ride with plenty of seasonal cheer.Jess Glynne plays a number of these characters herself - including&nbsp;a delivery driver and drag queen (or king?) - and the result is some of the best moments in her videography so far, embodying all of the drama, energy and excitement that comes with the holiday period.&nbsp;The editing is also well executed, using match cut transitions and whip pans to make each vignette feel part of the same story.Overall, this is a feelgood and stylish video that marks Glynne's first Christmas track and visual, produced in collaboration with Amazon Originals. &nbsp;

Boy meets girl, they have a&nbsp;kid, get annoyed with each other and end up splitting, just for the process to repeat when the kid reaches adolescence.The poignant message is wrapped in a layer of quirky imagery, with subtle visual effects allowing the three characters in tandem.The execution is top-notch, and a clever way to get around social distancing and the various challenges that have carried over from the year so far.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;
