Jorja Smith makes her directorial debut with the video for Falling Or Flying - the latest release from her forthcoming new album - and&nbsp;mirroring the sultry and soulful sounds of the track, she sets out to portray the dichotomy of falling or flying in a simple narrative that peaks as she departs on a journey into space.Up to that point, the viewer is treated to shots of a solitary Jorja as she performs the song captivatingly to the camera in an underground bunker, in the final preparations for her mission.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]Jorja worked closely with her crew and Stink's Head of Music Videos Dom McKiernan to bring her vision to life.&nbsp;"Jorja is equally as impressive behind the camera as she is in front of it," says McKiernan. "Incredibly considered, quick thinking and with just such a positive vibe throughout."Jorja had a clear idea of what she wanted and could communicate it to the crew cohesively whilst also being really collaborative and open to figuring out the best way to crystalise her vision together with the crew.”Jorja Smith adds that the idea for the video “came to mind ‘cause I always wanted to shoot a video in space. Falling Or Flying&nbsp;just made me think of that. I wanted to go up into space with someone I love and cherish, but they didn’t want to come with me.”

A naughty schoolboy&nbsp;goes on a sugar-fuelled rampage, in French director and graphic designer&nbsp;So Me's promo for Riton's infectious Sugar - featuring&nbsp;Soaky Siren.&nbsp;The eccentric promo sees the young rascal (played by&nbsp;Ethan Wesley) tear up the town, stealing various sugary treats in a riotous, explosive adventure - much to the dismay of the poor people trying to go about their day.With&nbsp;frantic, in-your-face cinematography, a great supporting cast,&nbsp;some laugh out loud moments - as well as some lively choreography - it's a brilliant video that takes a fun concept and pulls it right to the edge of absurdity... and the track couldn't have asked for a more catchy visual.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1][imgtoken data:2]

New pop hope Griff turns in a splendid live performance of Black Hole in Thomas Ralph's film shot at the newly restored Hackney Church. In the process it&nbsp;shifts from infinite darkness to space and light, and then back and forth between day and night.Griff is initially seen against total blackness - actually a&nbsp;black infinity wall that&nbsp;is revealed as such when the camera moves outwards to reveal the location and the teenage singer's fellow musicians. Then the church is revealed and a sense of space and light streaming from a giant stained glass window is a real mood-lifter.Most importantly of all, Griff reveals herself as a genuinely exciting talent with a great version of this excellent song.[imgtoken data:1]

Instead of a video for one track from American jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington&#39;s new album Heaven And Earth, director Jenn Nkiru and creative director Bradford Young are behind an innovative campaign of one minute &#39;teaser&#39; videos for four different songs.The first two in the series are Fists Of Fury and&nbsp;Space Travelers Lullaby, featuring enigmatic scenarios that draw&nbsp;you into Washington&#39;s glorious music.In Fists Of Fury, a trio of dancers in 1930s&nbsp;Ethiopian miliary garb execute a jaunty running dance around a red star; in Space Travelers Lullaby, a mysterious ceremony takes place in a forest, where a red-garbed priest bestows a blessing upon a young woman. And both certainly makes you want to see and hear more.

After the emotional and erotically-charged video for Like A Woman, directing duo JACK have created another audacious and controversial&nbsp;piece in their second collaboration with&nbsp;Kacy Hill.For Hard To Love, the singer submits herself to a &#39;graphic performance&#39; by artist Christophe Brunnquell, who proceeds to write the song&#39;s lyrics on Hill&#39;s body - beginning with the word Trust on both her eyelids.What is striking is the full commitment to the idea, which in effect puts Hill in her interlocutor&#39;s control - nearly naked, strapped and suspended as he uses her as a canvas, with no half-measures. All this is captured with characteristic intimacy by Steve Annis&#39;s camerawork.But curiously it appears to be the second big pop video in recent weeks that is contestably influenced by the work of <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114134/" target="_blank">British arthouse director Peter Greenaway</a>. Just don&#39;t call it a lyric video.&nbsp;

There are references to American Beauty, and Botticelli&#39;s Birth Of Venus with bold portrait-like imagery that works well in showcasing Hill&#39;s impressive vocal talents.&ldquo;Like A Woman is an exploration of my own femininity and sexuality,&quot; says the singer. &quot;I want my audience to have a similar experience of their own while listening. My goal is not to make a statement, but make space for exploration without shame or guilt. I don&rsquo;t speak for all women. I speak for Kacy Hill.&rdquo;
