London filmmaker Naomi Grant has shared a director’s cut of Infidel, the music video she directed for New York singer-songwriter Infinite Coles.The video was created through Three Minutes, Crack Magazine’s incubator scheme funding five music videos by young, unsigned directors.Shot in a warehouse setting, with well-crafted use of colour and art direction around the performance by Coles and a dancer,&nbsp;the Infidel music video is a poignant depiction of the journey to self-discovery and the confusion and isolation that come with it. Following its release last month, this is the Director’s Cut, which expands on Grant's vision.

Jade Ang Jackman directs a cyberpunk-inspired promo for Yonaka's comeback single&nbsp;Seize The Power.&nbsp;The enigmatic video opens with vocalist Theresa entombed in a glass box, performing various glitchy movements whilst a&nbsp;hesitant&nbsp;doppelgänger carefully approaches her.&nbsp;Falling somewhere stylistically between The Matrix series and Hellraiser, the aesthetic is beautifully rich and well considered, delivered via Ash Halliburton's art direction and complemented by DoP&nbsp;Kai Blamey Nguyen's use of ramped-up frame rates and night-vision style cinematography.&nbsp;The ideas of rebirth, growth and taking back control of our own lives are visualised with abstract flair, with Jade's bold direction confidently guiding the narrative to an exciting climax.“Theresa wanted to play with ideas relating to rebirth and the power that can emanate from within," explains Jade Ang Jackman.&nbsp;"Given her own strong and unique energy, together we could experiment with different moods and stages to show that journey gaining internal strength."It was super fun to work with an artist who is not afraid to show their wild or ugly side too!”&nbsp;

Filmawi has directed a celebration of black British fashion and music for The Legacy Series, presented by YouTube and GUAP, which premiered on December 17th. Here's one of the highlights of the show, Pa Salieu performing Over There.&nbsp;&nbsp;Collaborating with Westfield London the event also included&nbsp;live performances and fashion by George the Poet, Tiana Major9, Ms Banks and NSG, showcasing black designers through runways and interviews hosted by Henrie Kwushue.Filmawi added&nbsp;his unique surrealism and gritty visuals which compliments the series and adds a cinematic touch, taking the viewer&nbsp;through a journey of how and why the artists and designers are imperative parts of black British culture. All these elements makes this project linger in the mind way after in the mind and a great reminder of black British talent that isn’t celebrated enough.&nbsp;

The latest in Willie J Healey and Joe Wheatley's marvellous series of collaborations this year - including the UKMVA-nominated <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2020/04/15/willie-j-healey-true-stereo-joe-wheatley/64284" target="_blank">True Stereo</a> - sees Willie head to the gym for an energetic workout,&nbsp;with a squad of feisty&nbsp;ballerinas.Like an indie version of Taylor Swift in Shake It Off, Willie is a fish out of water among more elegant associates to start with - but eventually the ballerinas come around to his way of moving. It's a suitably uplifting end to the visual campaign around his superb Twin Heavy&nbsp;album.&nbsp;And as with the&nbsp;video for&nbsp;Fashun, director Wheatley has a cameo&nbsp;in the video -&nbsp;in a dramatised account of how they came up with the idea for this one...&nbsp;

Ali Kurr presents a dreamlike director's cut version of her video for Connie Constance's&nbsp;Clouds.The second collaboration between artist and director, sees the two follow a similar aesthetic of domestic surrealism with a muted yet striking colour palette, but this time shot in 4:3. After Constance's panel talk at MusicVidFest late last year on her first collaboration with Kurr, and how the two have developed a trust to explore their aesthetic together, it's great to see the evolution of that pairing in a confident new clip. It comes complete with hazy motion blurs and a surreal contrast between domestic scenes and richly mysterious dances.

She is&nbsp;vulnerable -&nbsp;with&nbsp;sealed&nbsp;eyes and a gaping abdomen - but more worrying still is&nbsp;her surgeon, who stops mid-operation for some&nbsp;wistful and sensuous&nbsp;dancing before contemplating her subject...
