Andre Muir has created an ambitious&nbsp;four-part project to accompany Mensa's latest mixtape,&nbsp;V Tape that focusses upon&nbsp;Mensa's roots on the Southside of Chicago.&nbsp;The visual album creates a portrait of Mensa while exploring issues of community in the Southside of Chicago, the Black experience, his African roots and religion. He runs and he runs, along tracks in seemingly endless woodland, captured beautifully on land and overhead, until he reaches the sea.Barnes&#39; widescreen approach really suits&nbsp;Croll&#39;s bombastic indie-pop, and he delivers a good punchline too.&nbsp;

Legendary artist, master of confrontational imagery and one-half of the Chapman Brothers, Jake Chapman, throws&nbsp;about thirty stock photos into a digital blender in what can only be described as art.Loosely following the lyrical themes of the song, Chapman cares not for the formal rules of broadcast quality, as the video skews between various aspect ratios without stopping to consider the effect it might have on your eyes. To call it abrasive (and divisive) would certainly be an understatement. But the band are certaily happy.&quot;The record label asked what we wanted to do for the video and I told them I&#39;d already given the whole budget to Jake Chapman to do whatever he wanted,&quot; says Frank Carter. &quot;He made the most visually disturbing and captivating ruinous piece of offensive/non-offensiveness that I have ever seen. First time he sent it for approval it failed the Harding test 858 times!&quot;It goes without saying that having Jake make us a video is basically mind blowing for me. I grew up spending my summers in the Saatchi gallery staring at all the insane art and their first version of Hell had a profound effect on me. Thank you Jake for your continued faith and support in the project and thanks for making an absolutely mental video that makes me feel uneasy every time I watch it.﻿&quot;

Greg Barnes, who has now officially signed to COMPULSORY in London for music videos, travelled to Acapulco, Mexico with the artist known as The Beach, to make a documentary around the locals who famously dive from high rocks into the sea below.Along with fusing a performance from the artist, the video focuses on the process of undertaking life-threatening dives everyday by a close-knit group of highly committed young daredevils. And it&#39;s also&nbsp;a highly appropriate theme for a song called Geronimo.&nbsp;Greg Barnes, who is based in&nbsp;London,&nbsp;has worked with clients such as Wonderland, Red Bull and Vice. His first collaboration with COMPULSORY was his video for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2015/09/07/haus-haze-greg-barnes" target="_blank">HAUS&#39;s&nbsp;Haze</a> last year.

But this is not so much about the tragic love between young members of&nbsp;two warring clans, as about Anne-Marie&#39;s relationship with a decidedly wayward Romeo. And setting off the alarm bells.Another fine story-plus-performance video from the director making a big impression in pop videos &ndash; and was apparently suffering from food poisoning on the shoot - and deftly edited by Chris Roebuck, who worked an all-nighter to complete this in time for the release of the single.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;

Bees, butterflies, flowers, pollination... it&#39;s the most natural thing in the&nbsp;world. And&nbsp;Ninian Doff has captured all that&nbsp;and more in all its breathtaking beauty - and then&nbsp;made it erotic by pairing it&nbsp;to the&nbsp;extremely&nbsp;explicit lyrics of&nbsp;Run The Jewels&#39; Love Again.&nbsp;Produced by Pulse in association with online US comedy channel JASH, it&nbsp;was shot by specialist&nbsp;nature documentary DOP&nbsp;Rod Clarke&nbsp;over five days in Bristol. Then editor Paul O&#39;Reilly had the mammoth task of transforming 17 hours of footage into a sizzling four minutes of viewing (and listening), giving&nbsp;the insects and plants the personality to pull off the sexual references.&ldquo;The challenge was choosing the right moments to give each insect a personality throughout the film,&rdquo; says Paul, &ldquo;We wanted the bees to look horny, the butterflies seductive, the flies dominated and the Venus flytraps alluring.&quot;The Homespun editor was on set for the whole shoot.&nbsp;&quot;It was a delicate and intriguing process to capture the film we needed to make the edit. To ensure the insects didn&rsquo;t keep flying around too fast, they were contained in a chilled environment before filming which gave them that undulating slow kinesis we wanted when exposed to room temperature.&rdquo;For Doff, it was very important for all the footage to be genuine.&nbsp;&quot;It was really important to me that all the insect footage was all real so that the video was an amazing example of how audio changes a film,&quot; he says. &quot;With piano music and David Attenborough narration this could go on TV on a Sunday Afternoon. With Run The Jewels amazing song on the exact same footage is&nbsp;so X-rated people blush watching it.[imgtoken data:1]&quot;However insects are basically emotionless robots and the challenge was to make them perform in a way that was still 100% real but told all the personality and &#39;performance&#39; I wanted. This is where the edit was really like a needle in a haystack for Paul. Literally within an hour of footage of an insect there might be two seconds of an amazing twitch or sidestep that totally elevated the video and sold the emotion. The fact that we really connect and understand what the insects are feeling, be it lust or fear, is a huge testament to Paul&#39;s work on this.&rdquo;

To celebrate the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare&#39;s death, the British Council are releasing a film every month depicting a new interpretation of a scene from a play by the immortal Bard. The latest in the Shakespeare Lives series is this&nbsp;strikingly visual&nbsp;adaptation of a scene from Julius Caesar by&nbsp;Pedro Martin-Calero.&nbsp;Mark Stanley (Game Of Thrones, Dickensian) delivers Brutus&#39;s speech justifying the imminent assassination&nbsp;of Caesar to his fellow senators, in a scenario which combines a contemporary&nbsp;setting with elements of surrealism. And with his speech intercut with armed soldiers heading to eliminate Caesar, the&nbsp;ominous&nbsp;sense of a coup d&#39;etat unfolding is intensified by the fact this was filmed in the actual corridors of power.Due to the client and the nature of the campaign, Martin-Calero and crew had access to locations in the Treasury and the Foreign Office, where they filmed for two days.&nbsp;They certainly make good use of them, in a piece which is an object lesson on how the visual language associated with music videos can help bring the work of Shakespeare to a new audience. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;

The pair sway gently with a glowing dance club&#39;s pretty, jovial&nbsp;crowd while singing about the ups and downs of love. And while the general vibe is happy and&nbsp;life-affirming, it also offers&nbsp;a reminder of those lost in violence not just in Chicago, but all over the world.

And&nbsp;Hope Cement Works in the Hope Valley, west of Sheffield, where this video was shot,&nbsp;consumes 2 million tonees of limestone and shale every year.&nbsp;Director&nbsp;Max McCabe explains: &quot;The band wanted to make an an alternative &#39;rock&#39; video. Here it is.&quot; And very tongue-in-cheek, indeed. Shot on 16mm film, it&nbsp;achieves the look of an old education film, made up&nbsp;mostly of&nbsp;extreme zooms, and including some choice&nbsp;informational text in regards to&nbsp;the&nbsp;massive&nbsp;cement works.

Singer-songwriter and Game Of Thrones star Raleigh Ritchie gets to extend his acting range in the first of two videos for the revamped version of Bloodsport by Shynola, playing a man consumed with madness and revenge at the end of a relationship - but with a darkly comic twist.Originally from his 2013 EP Black &amp; Blue,&nbsp;Bloodsport &rsquo;15&nbsp;now features a string section that heightens the heavy-hearted feeling of the original track, and the acclaimed directing team - once known exclusively for their animation work, now entirely established in live action - have created a&nbsp;brooding video to match.Ritchie, in the midst of his despair, is sad, bad, and unpredictable, cutting up his girlfriend&#39;s&nbsp;clothes, attempting to flush a pair of red heels down the toilet and fashioning himself a pink balaclava.And there&#39;s more to come in the second video, promises Sacha Szwarc at Speade, who edited both to the same track.&nbsp;&quot;I was absolutely thrilled to work with Shynola on this project,&quot; says Sacha.&nbsp;&quot;It was a pretty unique experience cutting a two part story narrative, but to the same song for both videos. More will be revealed in Part 2, but it was definitely interesting working to create harmonious balance between humour and, at times, it&#39;s slight darker side!&quot;
