Rita Ora has the time of her life with a surprising supporting&nbsp;cast, in Joseph Kahn's show-stopping video&nbsp;for Rita's take on the Fatboy Slim classic.Although Praising You is a Norman Cook-approved interpolation of Praise You, Joseph Kahn avoids referencing it's legendary video. He very much&nbsp;does his own thing - of course he does&nbsp;- which is to create a colossally entertaining spectacle, and a fabulous vehicle for Rita Ora.&nbsp;&nbsp;We start with Rita performing&nbsp;in the church in the desert, a unconventional preacher, performing to a rapt congregation - who turn out to be a small army of mannequin dolls, with very unmannequin-like qualities. Every time they are in shot, they are all posed into hilariously uncanny positions.&nbsp;One of them is playing the organ... A few of them are raising their hands in amazement... And by the end, when Rita and her gang head out into the desert, a few of them are lying in a pile of disembodied pieces.&nbsp;The visual has the widescreen cinematic aesthetic you expect from Kahn's work, and some standout VFX - No.8 and POD LDN going above and beyond on the project on this project. Overall, it's a triumph - and a great team up. Kahn&nbsp;frames Rita's undeniable star quality in the best possible way. As if somewhere in space the ship from Michael and Janet&#39;s Scream&nbsp;video crashed into the ship at the end of&nbsp;The Fifth Element&nbsp;and the survivors came to Earth to dance.

And this one for Out Of The Woods takes in several spectacular locations, as our heroine gets back to nature&nbsp;in a fantastical, dark(ish) Disney fantasy-style.Joseph has again hailed his star for being a real trouper on the arduous shoot&nbsp;- which involved filming in remote spots in&nbsp;New Zealand, using three helicopters.&nbsp;It&#39;s epic - although&nbsp;anyone hoping to find anything of the wit and fun of Blank Space are going to be&nbsp;disappointed.&nbsp;

The latest Taylor Swift video directed by Joseph Kahn was never going to&nbsp;be anything less than spectacular, and this one for Wildest Dreams was shot on location in Africa. An extraordinary version of Africa it is too: the wild animals&nbsp;are tame, and actual Africans are as rare as hen&#39;s teeth.This colonial-era&nbsp;tale of thwarted love, with Swift as an Ava Gardner or Liz Taylor-type movie star shooting a Mojambo-style movie with a handsome hunk (played by Scott Eastwood, son of Clint), lacks the bite of Blank Space and bombast of Bad Blood. But the singer has pledged that what she makes from the video - presumably from plays and pre-roll ads on YouTube - will go to a wildlife charity. So start watching.

Featuring a jawdropping collection&nbsp;of fierce females of the&nbsp;fashion, TV&nbsp;and pop-music industries (including Lena Dunham, Ellie Goulding,&nbsp;Cara Delevingne, and loads more)&nbsp;the video is set up like an extended trailer introducing many familiar faces&nbsp;and the personas they created for themselves.&nbsp;The first sequence has Swift and Selena Gomez in an office somewhere in London&nbsp;kicking butt and getting their hands on a mysterious&nbsp;briefcase.&nbsp;Gomez&#39;s character Arsyn is quickly established as Swift&#39;s nemesis when she betrays her, grabbing the briefcase and kicking&nbsp;her out of a window. Now that the bad blood has set in, Swift crews up at her Mission Impossible-style headquarters, races&nbsp;Tron-like&nbsp;motorcycles with Jessica Alba&nbsp;and sets out into post-apocalyptic London&nbsp;with her action-babes crew, which look like&nbsp;The&nbsp;Expendables&nbsp;except, y&#39;know, leaner&nbsp;and wearing stilettos.This all culminates with a face-off between her crew and Selena&#39;s, with a&nbsp;rather hilarious&nbsp;finale as the&nbsp;two women simultaneously slap each other. Really makes us wonder how the rest of the scene would have played out...

Just as he was about to deliver his keynote speech at the first MusicVidFest in London on Monday, Joseph Kahn discovered that his latest video for Taylor Swift had leaked onto the internet,&nbsp;a day ahead of schedule. Several hours later, Joseph could&nbsp;only be distracted from his white-hot Twitter feed when&nbsp;he realised he was the guy they were talking about on stage at the UKMVAs at the beginning of the presentation of the Icon Award.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;It&#39;s no surprise that Joseph&#39;s video for&nbsp;Blank Space broke the internet a bit on Monday, as few music videos have done before without resorting to explicit content. It presents a glorious fantasy of Taylor in her princess&#39;s castle - actually&nbsp;Oheka Castle and Woolworth Mansion in New York State - falling for her prince. The setting is sumptuous, the guy is drop-dead gorgeous... and then comes the surprise.&nbsp;Taylor turns nasty. In fact, not just nasty. She&#39;s mad. She&#39;s evil. An irrational green-eyed jealous monster who destroys her fairytale piece by piece, and his car, and his clothes. This big pop video is driven by&nbsp;the sarcastic edge of&nbsp;Blank Space, addressing her complicated&nbsp;love life, and the gossip. And Joseph does a typically masterful job seamlessly combining the glamour with the sarcasm and creating a &#39;bad Taylor&#39; that is so over the top, so knowing, you feel she&#39;s still lovely underneath.At his keynote speech Joseph made much of his belief that the role of the video director was &#39;at the spearhead&#39; of the marketing of the artist. That the job was not all about getting supportive comments from other directors from the Vimeo community, but&nbsp;was actually&nbsp;ll about what the artist (and their record company)&nbsp;want to project about themselves. This is a very good example of what he is talking about.Could have been very tricky, turning Taylor Swift into a bad, mad girl. But&nbsp;this is both an artistic statement and&nbsp;irresistable entertainment.&nbsp;

Joseph Kahn's new video for the hugely-chutzpahed Ms Gaga pushes all the important, sexed-up buttons with JK's customary aplomb.
But what really marks this out is probably the least subtle piece of product placement in the history of music videos. It's virtually genius in its awe-inspiring brazenness.
Presumably this where its all heading - with the boy dancers having to do their stuff, and hold the booze. I'm just about ready for a large one myself.
