Devonte Hynes&#39; musical vision as Blood Orange&nbsp;is accompanied by a self-directed, free-flowing video for Augustine, shot in New York City.&nbsp;We see Hynes and his friends dance on rooftops, congregate on stairs, and go for jerk chicken (one of his friends being Julian Casablancas of The Strokes).&nbsp;All of this is&nbsp;intercut with footage of Hynes alone in an apartment, composing and performing with various instruments as well as singing in front of a hand-painted flag of Sierra Leone -&nbsp;a reference to both his father&#39;s birthplace and the name of his latest album Freetown Sound&nbsp;(Freetown being Sierra Leone&#39;s capital city).The low-contrast, analogue film&nbsp;look and muted colour palettes in this video work incredibly well with the locations, making the whole thing feel like a very stream-of-conscious visual. Not so much a story here, but a series of visual fragments that help tell the wider story of Devonte Hynes and his music.
