Joe Bentley Morgan explores the feeling of letting go, using a relationship to symbolise how happy periods in life are fleeting but leave a lasting impression in his video for Hertfordshire singer and&nbsp;rapper mustbejohn.The video for From the Start&nbsp;centres on themes of nostalgia, vulnerability, and the early stages of love, reflected in the song’s bittersweet, reminiscent tone. Shot on a mixture of 16mm film -&nbsp;Kodak 7213, 7219 and expired 7207-&nbsp;to reflect&nbsp;the bittersweet moments of the past, alongside present-day reflections filmed digitally, Bentley Morgan and DoP Joe Hill capture the sense that John is narrating the story of the relationship. It was filmed in Southend and Dungeness, the&nbsp;locations symbolising different periods of the relationship with footage on the train&nbsp;representing the passage of time as the relationship develops. The result is a stirring accompaniment to the&nbsp;track and another strong showcase for mustbejohn from the director who has worked with him on several previous releases - including <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLKAYKfue6M" target="_blank">Wheelspin</a>.[imgtoken data:1]

Singer-songwriter Ben Kidson is the observer of his girlfriend's obsession with an egotistical old flame in Barney Pinder and Eric Keen's inventive video.&nbsp;&nbsp;Pinder and Keen&nbsp;use symbolism and visual humour to illustrate how Ben has been supplanted by the wrong man in the promo for First Place - primarily by covering him head-to-toe in gold paint.&nbsp;"He represents the 'shiny'&nbsp;former ex that Ben's old partner has returned to," say the directors.&nbsp;"His gold image is a combination of self inflated ego and idealisation from our female protagonist."Starting on an athletics track, Ben is beaten in a sprint race with his adversary, before taking a more backseat role in this relationship triangle. He watches as the shiny veneer of the returning ex-boyfriend starts to wear off.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;&nbsp;"The race represents the forced, psychological competition that comes when you find out your ex is moving on," say Pinder and Keen. "As the video progresses, Ben's omniscient, fireside, narration highlights the obvious issues between the two characters. First Place is a comedic yet realistic view into cliche scenarios with exes that everyone can resonate with. It’s a combination of jealousy and bitterness, accentuated through Ben's dry performance."In the outro we see a montage of flashbacks throughout the video of all the moments in which the ‘new boyfriend’ has left his mark everywhere. This symbolises the idea that a shiny, performative image will wear off and true colours will always show."

As soon as the order is in, the chefs in the back switch into competitive mode, clashing over who can outdo the others. The space hums with chopping, stirring and precise movements, captured in slick, rhythmic shots that build the tension.With no food in sight, Tinie makes his move. He steps into the kitchen, pulls fresh ingredients from the fridge and, unfazed by the chaos, assembles a perfect burger as the chefs spiral into a full-blown food war.[imgtoken data:1]“It was a beautifully mad shoot with over 50 shots in nine hours, with no time for stunt rehearsals," explains&nbsp;Yeeiid.&nbsp;"It was also my first time shooting stunts, and now I want to put them in all my videos!&nbsp;But what really made it work was the trust my family Ocurens, Tinie and his team placed in me.”Fast moving, frantic and absolutely absorbing, the use of abstract camerawork and unusual perspectives&nbsp;creates a high-energy vibe, brought to life through Yeeiid's knack for blending concept and performance.
