Pop superstars Labrinth and Billie Eilish embrace the world of conceptual contemporary dance in Daniel Sannwald's video for Never Felt So Alone.Sannwald collaborated with&nbsp;Spanish choreographer&nbsp;Candela Capitán for the project, whose dance/performance art piece&nbsp;19762. Alone and Connected, was the inspiration behind&nbsp;the video. As in the original&nbsp;- which&nbsp;premiered at Kassel, Germany&nbsp;in 2022 - the performers (Labrinth, Eilish and other dancers) are dressed in white neoprene suits and their movements limited by harnesses and chains attached to a metal frame,&nbsp;becoming more impactful as a result.Capitán has commented that the original dance performance is a reflection how the internet&nbsp;and machines dictate our lives - and makes us both alone and connected. This idea translates extremely well in Sannwald's&nbsp;video, providing a striking visual metaphor to frame a song about a devastating sense of loneliness.It's a boundary-testing move from Labrinth, arguably bringing him more into edgier world of Billie&nbsp;Eilish, that pays off wonderfully well.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;

Jordan Hemingway directs another visceral promo for Yves Tumor - part surreal fever dream, part&nbsp;Gulliver's Travels&nbsp;homage.&nbsp;The video for Echolalia features the artist being nailed into the ground by a host of miniature characters (all played by Tumor too). Colin Solal Cardo follows his <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2022/11/21/kimbra-replay-colin-solal-cardo/79358">hypnotic promo for Kimbra</a> with something much more down to Earth, in this breezy, uplifting&nbsp;piece&nbsp;for&nbsp;Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.&nbsp;The video for Easy Now features Milly Alcock (of&nbsp;House Of Dragons fame), and sees her character move from despair to euphoria, as she tears up the streets of London.Watched over by Gallagher himself - who chills on the sidelines, in a brief yet very welcome cameo - the video is anchored by a wonderful performance from Alcock, as she jumps on cars, disrupts groups of pigeons and eventually does a victorious run down the middle of the road, full of glee.&nbsp;A poignant concept which cements the fact that music has the ability to transcend, elevate and pull you out of yourself on the darkest of days.[imgtoken data:1][imgtoken data:2]

An ageing Matt Healy reminisces about the good old times, in&nbsp;Samuel Bradley's promo for The 1975.&nbsp;The wistful video for Oh Caroline sees the singer revisit an empty old hall, quickly revealed to be the venue of an old gig, where he met the namesake of the song.&nbsp;With brilliant practical&nbsp;effects, seamless VFX transitions and&nbsp;atmospheric cinematography, the video is a charming addition to the group's videography, and a sneak peek into the future,&nbsp;where each band member looks strikingly good for their age.&nbsp;And interestingly, according to Bradley's Instagram, the group didn't even see each other in makeup until shooting time.&nbsp;"I didn’t want any of the band seeing each other as old men until calling action so that their reactions would be 100% genuine,"&nbsp;Bradley wrote on IG.&nbsp;"We ran them through prosthetics separately and kept them apart with poly boards on the stairs whilst Matty sat at the table in the cafe. It was really lovely to witness."

Stormzy reflects on the love of his life, in Edem Wornoo's evocative promo for Firebabe.&nbsp;The video opens on a rippling lake, tilting up to a luxury house where Stormzy sits, performing as he&nbsp;stares&nbsp;out at nature.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]The beauty of this video is in the tender closeups and intimate presentation of the artist. Away from any type of spectacle or VFX magic, the focus is on pure emotion and a relaxed energy, and showcases a side of the artist that many may not be familiar with.&nbsp;The drawn-out, fluid shots complement&nbsp;the naturalistic light and organic art direction, creating an aesthetic that feels as pure as the emotions the track evokes.&nbsp;

Jordan Hemingway directs a darkly rousing, and quite saucy&nbsp;promo for Yves Tumor.&nbsp;In his trademark surreal, gothic style, Hemingway presents an abstract narrative in which the artist is dug up in a forest and thrown into a minacious&nbsp;religious gathering.&nbsp;DoP&nbsp;Jeremy Valender imbues the visual with a&nbsp;otherworldly, foreboding atmosphere, blending fashion and horror film aesthetics to create something dazzingly unique.&nbsp; &nbsp;

KLVDR's 11 minute epic for Stormzy's big return with Mel Made Me Do It is remarkable in a number of ways, and not least of course due to the star quality and sheer number of the cameo&nbsp;appearances. And yes, that does include the Special One...More to the point is the ambition of the piece. Fom the chatshow hosted by Jonathan Ross and ZeZe Mills, with Stormz sharing the sofa with Louis Theroux and Dina Asher-Smith - watched by Usain Bolt, at his home in Jamaica -&nbsp;to performance elements in the studio and the meeting with Jose Mourihno, to the momentous final chapter bringing a couple of generations of Black British talent together that includes a tribute to the late Jamal Edwards.At that point, Stormzy hands over duties to provide the spoken-word piece called Greatness - written by Wretch 32 and read by Michaela Cole. It's a&nbsp;quietly powerful climax of an impressive and entertaining production - this was a five day shoot,&nbsp;plus shooting Bolt in Kingston - that amounts to a big statement of intent by&nbsp;Stormzy - and reminds us of his unmistakeable charisma.&nbsp;&nbsp;And of course, the eponymous Mel, stylist Melissa Holdbrook-Akpose, namechecked by Stormzy in the songtitle, is there too, both behind and in front of camera - with her lint roller.

Trinity Ellis directs a mesmerising promo for Shygirl's latest track.&nbsp;Opening with an extended instrumental, we see Shygirl - real name&nbsp;Blane Muise - sitting on a platform in front of a projection screen, which loops lo-fi, candid footage of the artist.&nbsp;Diving into ethereal performance setups, the hypnotic aesthetic is achieved through striking VFX and glossy cinematography, whilst the glamorous styling and art direction elevates the fashion-forward style of the concept.&nbsp;

MØ takes on the formidable Globe of Death on her motorbike, before being catapulted into a new idyllic world in Joanna Nordahl's dazzling video for Live to Survive.Nordahl uses a combination of spectacular action, portraiture and fiery VFX to create a visual metaphor for the sentiment behind the song that marks the&nbsp;return of the artist otherwise known as&nbsp;Karen Marie Ørsted.In the first part of this breathless video we get the all-action MØ, as two bikes revolve around inside the enclosed Globe of Death. Then she is transported to the countryside by a beautiful lake, having come through the other side of her extraordinary challenge.&nbsp;MØ says of Live to Survive: “I hope you’ll dance to it feeling empowered in yourself, with all your vulnerability, strength, beauty, and flaws, and remember that life is a constant dance of ups and downs.”[imgtoken data:1][imgtoken data:2]
