Mae Muller celebrates being young, free and single in Amy Becker-Burnett's playful promo for Me, Myself &amp; I.In a liminal office building space, we see Mae relax peacefully amongst the unused furniture, unbothered by boys or any of the baggage that comes with them.&nbsp;A few do appear, however - but they are there on her terms, acting as back-up dancers or doing her hair, for example.&nbsp;The transition from new-build, stripped-back environments to blossoming plants and full glam represents Mae's growth and her commitment to her own happiness, whilst encapsulating a contemporary fashion aesthetic.&nbsp;"I really wanted this to feel like a proper old skool pop video, pulling a lot of references from early 2000's iconic pop culture, which felt like such a transformative era for music," says Amy Becker-Burnett.&nbsp;"Both me and Mae wanted it to feel playful and tongue in cheek, but also have a really strong visual identity. Mae was really collaborative throughout the whole process and so fun to work with, there was always great energy set."

French-Cuban sister duo Ibeyi scale the desert with Jorja Smith, in&nbsp;Lucrecia Taormina's captivating promo for Lavender and Red Roses.&nbsp;We see the artists trek through the midst of a sandy landscape, following the line of a rope to a well in the middle of the desert. They pour a jug full of lavender and red rose petals into the well - where, at the bottom a&nbsp;mysterious masked man digs further downwards.&nbsp;Arguably this&nbsp;abstract narrative explores themes of femininity and divine energy, suggesting it is time to 'cut the cord', and stop relying on women to pull up men who are not actively helping themselves or looking for ways to improve their own situation. But&nbsp;the&nbsp;beauty of the visual, the magic of Taormina' concept,&nbsp;lies in the various ways in which to read the unfolding action.[imgtoken data:1]Taormina weaves this ambiguous and metaphorical&nbsp;tale in her characteristic&nbsp;hyperreal style - not in a real desert, we suspect, but a very convincing studio and VFX-created approximation of one. The group get out&nbsp;and arm themselves with heavy chains and baseball bats, before charging off into the night. Returning with a rolled up carpet, it's evident what has happened. But will they get away with it?David Wright's cinematography elevates the simple concept, using neon light to contrast Ray and the group against the dim residential location, and the styling and subtle art direction help turn quite a dark idea into something more accessible and commercial. &nbsp;

Managing to create a successful emotional narrative in such a confined, familiar and dreary space and keep it interesting for 3 minutes is no small feat, and Slater pulls it off with accomplished grace.

Circa Waves have released new single Fire That Burns with a fun and entertaining&nbsp;video by James Slater taking place on a&nbsp;murder mystery film set - including a cameo by beloved Game Of Thrones actor Isaac Hempstead Wright&nbsp;aka Bran Stark.What originally looks like an Italian giallo movie breaks out of its mould into a frenzied narrative taking place on set, where the viewer is presented with a disorientatingly quick succession of sequences, both part of the film narrative and &#39;real&#39;.&nbsp;And these distinctions then blur, as the actor&nbsp;who plays the serial murderer (who&#39;s played by Circa Waves frontman Kieran Shudall)&nbsp;actually begins&nbsp;to&nbsp;crack. Haunted by flashbacks of his fictional murder victims and feverish visions of antique portaits and busts following him with their gaze, the crazed sequence leads&nbsp;to a surprising ending that you can&#39;t predict!&nbsp;&nbsp;
