Philip Andelman presents his own trippy spin on the Spaghetti Western genre, in this offbeat promo for&nbsp;Khruangbin and&nbsp;Leon Bridges.Following their collaborative EP Texas Sun, released last year, Khruangbin team up with American soul singer Bridges once again, and in Andelman's&nbsp;video for B-Side, the trio jetting in on a vintage style spaceship before facing off with Bridges, who's arrived in a classic car, in a nostalgic Western set.&nbsp;As they face off, gunslinger-style, and then perform the song, the video enters its psychedelic stage. We watch the sky turn into mesmerising oil art, as the group casually keep on playing in the chromatic glow of the peculiar weather event.[imgtoken data:1]"This one was a real labour of love," says Andelman, who also directed the video for <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2020/03/03/khruangbin-leon-bridges-texas-sun-philip-andelman/63607" target="_blank">Texan Sun</a>.&nbsp;"The shoot itself was a real trial, with a major lighting storm and torrential rain keeping us inside for most of the afternoon, a skeleton crew and broken 16mm film mags that ate up twelve solid minutes of footage and two hours of work."Andelman reveals that Bridges was also taught how to learn a 'stick-shift' car on set by producer Keeley Gould, as the shoot day ticked away."And then there was five months of post as we waited for friends to free up and help us colour, create flying saucers, and film coloured oil in vinegar for the skies. But through and through we all had a blast!"

And the tough reality of&nbsp;life on the road in West Texas also comes with an element of pure magic.&nbsp;&nbsp;As he explains here, Andelman was inspired to create a visual that did justice to the song. It&#39;s Muna vs. a line of faceless&nbsp;riot police - representing here an authoritarian regime that your imagination might not have to stretch too far to picture. Their message here is one of compassion, rather than violence, which in some circles might be a more controversial school of thought.Political ideologies here are intercut with some incredible costume and performance elements from the band. It looks like dystopia, but it&#39;s a very stylish dystopia.

And there&#39;s a twist of VFX at the end too, when passion stirs so strongly that Maxwell and his lady&nbsp;transform into smoke.
