And that&#39;s&nbsp;a terrible strain for&nbsp;his poor wife,&nbsp;desperate to find a cure for his most-upsetting ailment...

Villagers&#39; Conor O&#39;Brien goes out for a romantic&nbsp;dinner date, and offers his dinner partner a remarkable token of his affection, in Bob Gallagher&#39;s tragi-comic video for Fool.It&#39;s a surreal and grisly tale of unrequited love, told entirely from the perspective of O&#39;Brien&#39;s date - it was shot with the camera mounted on the director&#39;s head - and featuring a larege cast of fellow restaurant goers, it&#39;s expertly choreographed to tell the story in a single&nbsp;continuous shot.

Dublin-based director and storyteller supreme Bob Gallagher has created a charming video for Villagers&#39; Trick Of The Light, the first release from their forthcoming album The Art Of Pretending To Swim.A mysterious disheveled man wanders the streets at night and like a suited shaman, triggers an altered state of consciousness in everyone he meets. Or at least thinks that he does.It&#39;s a delightful confection - and is that Villagers&#39; Conor O&#39;Brien playing the disgruntled cinema kiosk worker, whisked into the air by our hero?&nbsp;Even when our hero&#39;s delusions are brutally exposed, it&#39;s still worth hanging on for the final seconds. Music videos rarely attain a sense&nbsp;of wistfulness, but Bob Gallagher has achieved it here.

PBR Streetgang&#39;s witty demolition&nbsp;of the inanity of pretty much everything, delivered by R&amp;B singer Mattie Safer, becomes a vehicle of baby-boomer scorn in Bob Gallagher&#39;s video for Everything Changes.Safer&#39;s voice is taken by a rascally old gent with a punk&nbsp;attitude (Michael O&#39;Sullivan, excellent), mocking the trivial preoccupations&nbsp;of the Instagram/selfie generation.It&#39;s a low-budget social comedy with lots of bite,&nbsp;another thoroughly entertaining video from Dublin&#39;s finest, Bob Gallagher.

Bob Gallagher and Enter Shikari enter the fray of dystopian drama with a sharp, smart and punchy allegory on the lurking danger of&nbsp;mind control and sensory nullification for Live Outside.From the sterile pharmaceutical production line to the drug-enhanced escape through VR environments, frontman Rou Reynolds&nbsp;and his co-workers are having the time of the lives, until a darker reality beings to intrude.It&#39;s a familiar storyline, but&nbsp;is still compulsively watchable&nbsp;thanks to&nbsp;Gallagher&#39;s direction. He builds claustrophobic tension, shot through with dark humour,&nbsp;largely through two elements not largely dependent upon budget: character and editing.

James Vincent McMorrow comes to the realisation that fascism has gone too damn far when his audience falls victim to its grasp in Bob Gallagher&#39;s video for One Thousand Times.What starts off as a normal-looking performance video quickly gets stranger as a fascist dictator and his SWAT team decide to storm the place, carry everybody&nbsp;off and have a nice time for themselves. The thing about this video is how scary it is in the current political climate, compared to how easily it could have been laughed off a few years ago.
