Fleur Fortune&#39;s compelling&nbsp;short film for Travis Scott is a neo-futurist, dystopian look at near-death experiences.Shot in Detroit, the clip starts off by essentially establishing Scott as an unlikeable figure, and one in need of redemption. A brilliantly executed long takem shot in a car interior as it moves through the Detroit streets is the build up to a narrative-altering event, and one which takes this video from gritty, realistic short film territory straight into the realm of transformative experience.A masked figure walks forwards as the world moves backward around him - buildings crumble. We assume that it&#39;s Travis himself, as he&#39;s visited from people in the earlier part of the narrative. An out-of-body experience? Purgatory? Something else entirely?The video has a strange symmetry to it, with scenes from the first half of the 15 minute short being mirrored and echoed cleverly in this much more fantastical second act. It&#39;s an ambitious and enigmatic work - being shown exclusively on&nbsp;Apple Music for 90 days - that invites repeated viewing.[imgtoken data:1]

In Fleur and Manu&#39;s ambitious, layered, cameo-littered epic for&nbsp;A$AP Rocky&#39;s Everyday, we follow the irrepressible Rocky&#39;s career in reverse - from a point where all that lavish living has definitely caught up with him.Bloated, used-up, and face-down in a pool, Everyday (which samples Rod Stewart&#39;s vocal from In A Broken Dream)&nbsp;tracks an old rapper&#39;s past through flashbacks which see him popping prescription pills and going under the knife to retain his fading looks, becoming unrecognisable. Rod (who has looked after himself)&nbsp;makes a brief appearance too, and Mark Ronson, as this whirlwind of scenes of partying, drugs and girls reveals present-day Rocky in all his current gorgeousness.There&#39;s a&nbsp;&#39;money can&#39;t buy&nbsp;happiness&#39;&nbsp;message in there somewhere, but Rocky still comes out as more of a carpe diem&nbsp;type of guy...&nbsp;

Shot around his sold-out shows at the world-famous Troubadour club in West Hollywood, Tom Odell delivers a brilliant performance in Jamie Thraves&#39; excellent,&nbsp;thought-provoking new video for his song Another Love.Working on two levels as a short film and music promo, Tom is frantically on the search for a missing lover (played by Sarah Navratil), posting notices at every opportunity and culminating in one almighty twist.Writing on his website, Tom says: &quot;A few months back, a director called Jamie Thraves got in touch with an idea for a short film for Another Love. He&rsquo;s made some of my favourite videos and films and I jumped at the chance to work with him.&nbsp;&quot;I&rsquo;ve always been fascinated by the power of music in film and how they work together&nbsp;and Jamie&rsquo;s idea kinda blew me away. We shot it in LA a few weeks back, and I co-star with this dog called Patch and a brilliant actress.&quot;

Tom Odell 'Another Love' by Jamie Thraves

As he&rsquo;s spent 2013 being praised to the heavens for his godlike genius, and most people think he can probably walk on water (and maybe even rose from the dead&hellip;) David Bowie actually plays Christ in Floria Sigismondi&rsquo;s video for The Next Day.
Also starring Bowie&rsquo;s pal Gary Oldman, as a bad guy priest who turns up at the Catholic church&rsquo;s favourite bar, and Marion Cotillard as a courtesan with blood-spurting stigmata. Floria does not stint on the symbolic Catholic imagery and characters (including a Joan of Arc, a self-flagellating priest and deeply immoral Cardinal) and their proximity to fun and debauchery. Nor the blood, of which there are bucketloads. Which all added up to a &lsquo;ban&rsquo; &ndash; it went missing on YouTube for a few hours on the day of release &ndash; and another PR triumph.
But it all makes sense in a strange way &ndash; and as it features Marion Cotillard losing herself in sensual reverie&hellip; well, say no more. And Bowie maintains a canny position of being almost a co-star in his own video &ndash; and a restrained sense of humour, as indicated by his speech of thanks at the end. Wuzza wuzz.

Floria Sigismondi's previous video for Katy Perry was the SFX-heavy ET, with Kanye West. But now here's the real deal. The One That Got Away is ambitious, romantic, poignant and properly sad.
It's also fairly courageous for the artist to reimagine herself convincingly as a wealthy octogenarian in her own video. The promo oscillates between her past and present as her old, rich self reflects on 'the one that got away' - played by Mexican actor Diego Luna. Props to SFX make-up artist Dominie Till who ages Perry 50-plus years.

Katy Perry 'The One That Got Away' by Floria Sigismondi

ET, the fourth single from Katy Perry's globe-straddling Teenage Dream album, boasts an outer space extravaganza from Floria Sigismondi, in a rare return to promo action.
Boasting an appearance (and recently added vocals) by Kanye West and with all departments upping their game (notably Kabuki's make-up), the promo greatly enhances the pounding soundtrack, combining sci-fi, sex, social comment, sunglasses and human-animal genetic engineering. Nice one, Floria.
