Francois Rousselet and the VFX/animation team at Electric Theatre Collective set the creative benchmark for the year with the brilliant video for Pharrell's team-up with 21 Savage and Tyler the Creator.It's a technically state-of-the-art take on one of the earliest cinematic devices - the zeotrope. And Rousselet has devised his promo as a similar type of machine - endlessly rotating, revealing delights within -&nbsp;but with endless possibilities.This is due to the remarkable way its been made,&nbsp;the incredible attention&nbsp;to detail: endless layers and stories appear within this magnificent rotating construction, and breaking all rules of physicality as its been created in CG.A magnificent conjuntion of imagination and execution, by Rouseelt, the team at ETC, led by CDs and VFX supervisors Greg McKneally and Iain Murray. From <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2013/02/28/duke-dumont-ft-ame-need-u-100-ian-robertson" target="_blank">Need U</a> onwards, Duke Dumont has inspired some very entertaining, gag-filled videos. So entrusting the video for The Giver to Surrender Monkeys, a directing duo with a talent for humour, was a smart move. And their Giver is none other than Jesus Christ - who emerges from the surf at Venice Beach, and turns out to be a very Californian sort of Messiah.&nbsp;Brash and&nbsp;over-confident, this guy is bent, even Hell-bent, on making some miracles happen, whether people like it or not. And all he does is more harm than good. There&#39;s certainly the required&nbsp;Duke Dumont rate of visual gags&nbsp;- and a deeper message too...?
