When he ventures into the outside world he finds himself capable of all kinds of otherworldly powers, sometimes struggling to control them.A number of magical moments arrive in an understated fashion - which seems a perfectly pitched visual metaphor for Sampha's talent. And it makes it more impressive with every viewing.

Actress and singer Keke Palmer takes on the role of Usher, in Ricky Alvarez' mind-bending visual for Boyfriend.&nbsp;It's a typical night out in Vegas as Keke hangs out&nbsp;with her friends, with a big twist - Palmer is lip-syncing the majority of the track, as Usher plays a phantom presence in her mind.&nbsp;Following some real life drama that saw Palmer's (allegedly ex) partner shame her on Twitter for wearing a sheer dress to an Usher concert, the video is the perfect clash of nostalgic R&amp;B concept and modern social moment, packaged in a glossy, fun visual.&nbsp;And there are some breathtaking choreography moments, of course - and we wouldn't expect any less from a video for the iconic artist.&nbsp;

Tyler is back, showing once more that not only is he a great rapper, he's an incredible visual interpreter of his own music. Even if he's not now directing as Wolf Haley, but under a new monicker/handle.And Dogtooth is jaw dropping. As multiple Tylers goof in classic fashion in a dangerous-looking chemical/industrial plant under a blazing sun, it has its own weird energy and tension (and that really does appear to be Tyler miles&nbsp;up on on that tower gantry).It's also of a piece with the videos from the last album Call Me If You Get&nbsp;Lost, as this is the extension of that project (Call Me If You Get&nbsp;Lost: The Estate Sale, out today, 31/3/23). Hats off to his main collaborators, producer Tara Razavi and DoP Luis 'Panch' Perez, who play key roles in the consistency of that vision.And that vision is, of course, incontestably and peerlessly wacky. No-one can out-wacky Tyler, the Creator. And it would be a terrible spoiler to reveal what he does to those&nbsp;cool white cars.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Drew Kirsch directs a playful performance promo for Charlie Puth and Jung Kook of BTS.&nbsp;Now that Korean boyband sensation&nbsp;BTS have gone on hiatus, each of the members are busy working on their own projects, and Jung Kook has partnered with Charlie Puth for one of the first individual releases.&nbsp;Featuring mischevious performances and a series of abstract vignettes, the concept is an explosion of colour and absurdism, and whilst the scenes are interconnected on a surface level, there is not a clear narrative at play here - and that is one of the things that makes it so absorbing.&nbsp;Taking a page out of the K-Pop video playbook, Kirsch has focused&nbsp;on packing as many spectacular visuals as possible into the two and a half minute runtime, creating a frenetic yet captivating project that feels refreshing and unique.&nbsp;

Dashing the hopes of alt-righters everywhere that she's their secret queen, Taylor nails her colours to the mast and embraces the LGBTQ community, in the video for You Need To Calm Down.&nbsp;It's a cameo-packed fantasy trailer-park world, with appearances by Laverne Cox, the “fab five” from Queer Eye, Billy Porter, Adam Rippon, some drag queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race&nbsp;(including a Taylor lookalike) and RuPaul himself. And then there's the appearance of Katy Perry, as a burger to Taylor's fries - an&nbsp;orchestrated demonstration that their, er, 'beef' is now a thing of the past.&nbsp;Maccie Ds&nbsp;must be absolutely delighted.There's also the characterisation&nbsp;of a homophobic demonstrators as a rabble of toothless rednecks - which is fun, but is it helpful? At least one commentator <a href="https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/taylor-swift-you-need-to-calm-down-pride-lgbt-song-video-a8964286.html">thinks otherwise</a>.&nbsp;This is also the Taylor's first video where she claims a co-directing credit - together with Drew Kirsch, who's super-colourful style has graced videos for the likes of Jai Wolf, John Legend, Valentino Khan and others.

So how apt that Tyler&#39;s video for See You Again&nbsp;- featuring Kali - should continue the cartoon surreal subversiveness of that video,&nbsp;and ramp it up even more.&nbsp;In fact this brilliant Navy lark (also featuring a brief cameo by A$AP Rocky)&nbsp;is&nbsp;up there with his best Tyler videos. That includes Yonkers and IFGY.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
