Welcome to the world where only futuristic humanoid robots exist, and everyone worships the greatest humanoid robot racing driver:&nbsp;Crashtag.It's the latest blockbuster for Pink Noise directed by Kim Chapiron, and here co-directed by Paris VFX-studio CG supervisor Jehan Bouazza, based at top Paris VFX house Mathematic.Bouazza led Mathematic’s team of skilled artisans and animators throughout the nine-month production, encountering challenges in developing a modern and first of its kind music video world, solidifying a unique character design for Crashtag, and managing a high volume of assets required to create the racetrack arena.[imgtoken data:1]Lead Character Artist Camille Gurruchaga oversaw the creation of Crashtag, crafting the character’s background story and psychological profile to inform design decisions, while concept artists simultaneously developed the look of the environments, including the racetrack and larger arena. Once 'lookdev' was finalized, the team set out to produce the five-minute animated sequence, using Zbrush for modeling, Maya for animation, Substance Painter for textures, Nuke and Flame for compositing, Resolve for color grading, and Arnold for the final render. To bring the anthropomorphic Crashtag character to life, Mathematic motion captured a performance by Ladj Ly, the acclaimed French director of the 2019 film Les Misérables.&nbsp;Ly’s performance imprinted humanlike qualities – including a distinct personality and emotional warmth, when it comes to the crunch. Madonna, the great agent provocateur of pop, has engaged the vision of Emmanuel Adjei to create her boldest, most provocative video in years - featuring a searing performance by Mykki Blanco, as&nbsp;Joan of Arc.Blanco&nbsp;plays the hunted, defiant and doomed Joan in the Dark Ballet video -&nbsp;the distinctive modern casting of a transexual in&nbsp;the role of a timeless symbol&nbsp;of&nbsp;the powerless and downtrodden, in an otherwise believably medieval setting.It's immaculately created by Adjei on the epic scale that distinguished his MVA-winning video for Sevdaliza's Shahamaran last year, and Blanco fits seamlessly into that world, where beauty and music video aesthetics sit alongside moments of real horror -&nbsp;Adjei certainly&nbsp;does not shy away from Joan's terrible fate. &nbsp;This is also&nbsp;Madonna getting back to one of her favourite themes -&nbsp;the systemic repression&nbsp;of the Catholic Church. Perhaps boldest of all, as she locks horns with an old adversary, she remains largely invisible herself. She only appears in one shot in the entire video.&nbsp;

The modern chains, of aspiring for success, power and decadence that create a false sense of freedom and autonomy.&nbsp;The video has a decisive sci-fi feel to it, the three year project utilising impressive special effects that give the expansive and empty desert an other-worldly feel. Having collaborated on other projects together in the past, Emmanuel Adjei and Sevdaliza have created a highly sophisticated, complex and beautifully executed piece. And as the circle tightens, the man becomes more passionate, and then desperate...As with previous videos from Alt-J&#39;s second album This Is All Yours, band frontman Joe Newman was involved at the conceptual stage of the Pusher video. And his&nbsp;involvement which has allowed Thomas Rhazi to reach for his powerful, thought-provoking,&nbsp;unquestionably bleak climax.&ldquo;The original idea was Joe&#39;s one,&quot; says Thomas. &quot;It was about a guy breaking his neck in a very poetic way. Dizzee is just as badass in this one, but in a different way:&nbsp;he&#39;s the ninja master, training a small army of warriors, and using his own telepathic powers to defeat the bad guy - doing&nbsp;some serious damage to a Buddhist temple in the process.It&#39;s another brilliant&nbsp;production job by Division in Paris too, another marvellous collaboration between Dizzee and Émile. And we trust this baby will be sticking around...&nbsp;

Just signed to Division in Paris, artist Valentine Reinhardt has made a wonderful debut video for Sebastien Tellier's Love.&nbsp;The artist painted the cover to Tellier's most recent album L'Aventura, and now she's&nbsp;hand-painted over forty scenes with acrylic paint on paper, with her tropical, almost Rousseau-style visuals being animated, which colour the track wondrously. &nbsp;Really beautiful visuals - and, of course, everyone's naked.

It&#39;s all about&nbsp;sex - but it&#39;s also about love.&nbsp;A young couple, nude, recline on a bed, and then they begin to perform sex. It is real and natural,&nbsp;but then it becomes frozen, abstracted &ndash; literally framed - where both parties view themselves from without,and then becomes lost in surrealism. &nbsp;This is brave work - and frankly, very French - with courageous performances from the boy and girl. Maybe it will be the&nbsp;most controversial of the year so far - for all the right reasons.&nbsp;
