As music video directing debuts go, this one for Tanika&#39;s Bad 4 U takes some beating. For a start the concept, for a new artist&#39;s big launch pop song, is just a bit outrageous. It&#39;s a very sexy courtship dance between Tanika - very much flesh and blood &ndash; and a massive 18-wheeler truck.The director is Justin Anderson, already highly regarded in the fashion film world with his&nbsp;work with Richard Nicoll, Agent Provocateur, Armani, and George Jensen. As Justin explains below, his inspiration was the work of legendary art director Jean-Paul Goude with Grace Jones. But the execution is all his own work and its superb - a precision instrument.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Florence Welch bursts back, all guns blazing, with Shake It Out, and Dawn Shadforth's video pulls out the stops to reflect its wrought emotion, with a sumptuous period mystery and Florence as a beautifully-attired Victorian heroine, seemingly harbouring multiple personalities. 
It was shot in Eltham Palace, with Ed Rutherford behind the camera, styling by Aldene Johnson, and Dawn working with editor Thomas Grove Carter for the first time.

More superior, hard-to-resist pop with a colour-coded video by Sarah Chatfield. Like her pal Kinga's video for Katy Perry, Annie has her girlfriends to back her up - although this time they have clothes on.
And lovely clothes too. Sarah is now back working with Chris Sweeney on their second big film for YSL's next menswear collection. Of course the fashion label has been rocked by the death at the weekend of it's founder, Yves Saint Laurent - the designer who <a href="http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/06/02/europe/menkes.php">redefined women's fashion</a>.
He would probably have approved of those little black dresses...
