Lily Rose Thomas directs a thought-provoking&nbsp;promo for Mr Pash's Midnight.&nbsp;The video for Lonely Man was filmed on location in Margate's Walpole Bay Hotel, and is a profound&nbsp;exploration of good love gone bad, and the fallout of such a relationship.&nbsp;Captured in a one-take performance, the anachronistic location perfectly suits the idea that Ollie Pash (aka Mr. Pash's Midnight) is completely lost in time, and unable to decide what he wants to do with himself. The black and white, timeless aesthetic helps cement this idea.&nbsp;The video is the latest in a long line of collaborations between Thomas&nbsp;and Pash, having made a number of videos for his former band Beach Baby.

A lighting technician is transported to another dimension by a 5K lamp in a film studio, in Ben Unwin's latest strobe-feedback-meltdown visual&nbsp;extravaganza&nbsp;for Loop.&nbsp;In the video for Fermion&nbsp;the technician,&nbsp;played by&nbsp;Alex Walton, is left to clear up a film studio on his own - but instead sets up a light&nbsp;in front of his face, and launch himself into&nbsp;a wild cosmic journey of lo-fi effects and glitchy textures.&nbsp;Harking back to the early days of the music video format&nbsp;where various effects were tried out for the sake of experimentation, much of these were achieved in-camera on the shoot.&nbsp;It's also a development of the eye-bleeding bombardment that Unwin created for Loop's previous video - and it's&nbsp;strangely absorbing and magical to watch.But as it warns at the start it does contain flashing images and is&nbsp;is unsuitable for viewers with photosensitive epilepsy.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Lacking real flames for obvious health and safety reasons, Sayers has turned to a classic burned celluloid aesthetic and used it to create a fresh take on one of the most powerful and multifaceted elements on the planet.

Matt Lambert&#39;s lovely docu-video&nbsp;piece for Declan McKenna&#39;s&nbsp;Paracetamol&nbsp;offers up&nbsp;an intimate glimpse into&nbsp;the lives and emotional&nbsp;struggles for acceptance&nbsp;of two best friends on the LGBT&nbsp;spectrum, one trans boy, the other a gay young man.It&#39;s a simple and&nbsp;emotional work which feels profoundly modern, with handheld vlog-style footage from the cast as&nbsp;natural chemistry plays out between them. It&#39;s a perfect visual addition to the song, which the teenage singer-songwriter Declan&nbsp;McKenna wrote as a reaction to the&nbsp;tragic suicide of American transgender teen Leelah Alcorn.

Due to be released in the winter of 2015,&nbsp;Suede&nbsp;are unveiling an&nbsp;intricately woven series&nbsp;of twelve music&nbsp;videos for their new album&nbsp;Night Thoughts, which also combine back-to-back, to form one rich narrative.&nbsp;This ambitious project, directed by Roger Sargent and written by Steph de Giorgio,&nbsp;is said to flow&nbsp;in tight-knit harmony with the return LP from the iconic British rock&nbsp;band.&nbsp;It will be&nbsp;premiered at&nbsp;Suede&rsquo;s upcoming performance&nbsp;at London&rsquo;s&nbsp;Roundhouse, on the&nbsp;13th &amp; 14th of November, and will&nbsp;act as the backing visuals to their European&nbsp;tour.An intriguing taster of the Night Thoughts film can be found in this short trailer.&nbsp;Certainly one to look out for.

The Libertines have released this shocker&nbsp;for Heart Of The Matter, directed by their regular collaborator Roger Sargent, which confronts their legendary&nbsp;notoriety head-on in a lurid&nbsp;satire on excess&nbsp;and tabloid demonisation.The setting is a twisted&nbsp;peep-show,&nbsp;where paying customers&nbsp;are privy to frontmen&nbsp;Peter Doherty and Carl Barat taking turns in torturing, tormenting and&nbsp;forcing&nbsp;drugs upon&nbsp;what turns out to be (spoiler alert)&nbsp;themselves.&nbsp;And perhaps the most irksome image&nbsp;is&nbsp;of a&nbsp;couple who are&nbsp;literally getting off on&nbsp;the ultra-violence.Sargent describes the video as a reflection of the song&#39;s unflinching gaze at the damage that Doherty and Barat have done to themselves over the past decade. &quot;It will probably upset people. It is honest,&quot; he says.&nbsp;He also argues that if the video is labelled as controversial, that will be itself part of the demonising process by the media. &quot;The people who will react in mock horror, to demonise and belittle do so only to sell more papers. They are really the ones that inhabit our little peep show.&quot;

Barcelonian&nbsp;Tumblr artist and regular SHOWstudio contributor&nbsp;Rei Nadal (renowned in fashion circles for her &#39;Death And Milk&#39; Tumblr)&nbsp;makes a bold step towards proper directing with her video for Vaults&#39; Vultures, and series of memorable images, connected only by their theme of female struggle.&nbsp;Physical pain and discomfort is encapsulated with unusual footage of stick insects walking across mascara&#39;d eyes, a woman&#39;s bleeding nipple, and&nbsp;a choreographed piece of dancing &#39;witches&#39; that&nbsp;ties disparate images together.&nbsp;Rei was inspired by the &#39;dark lullaby&rsquo;&nbsp;aspects of the song by a band likely to get much better known in 2015.She told SHOWStudio (the video was premiered on the&nbsp;website): &quot;It made me think of a group of woman chanting to each other and to themselves, not to sleep but to comfort each other, telling their story and what it hurts them but also sharing their love and joy. I think these two sentiments were equally important to be represented in the video. As a woman there are so many difficulties in the world; the fear of violence every day, dehumanisation because of my sex, censorship... But in the end I just want to remind myself how lucky I am to be a woman.&quot;&nbsp;

<a href="http://lucyannewatkins.com/L_U_C_Y_A_N_N_E_W_A_T_K_I_N_S.html" target="_blank">Lucy Anne&nbsp;Watkins</a> has directed this absorbing video for new band Lungs&#39; Loner, combining live action (photographed by Gabi Norland) and her own hand-drawn animation to visualize the haunted imaginings of the band&#39;s two members -&nbsp;former Guillemots guitarist Mclord Magrao, and photographer Suzie Blake.Drawing inspiration from the dark tone of the song, the pair struggling in turn with their demons, that loom all around them. And the swirling images that surround the couple are&nbsp;a very effective, very gothic way of expressing mental anguish.
