Danish director Nina Holmgren has created a gorgeous showcase for the rising singer Justine Skye, that's also a knowing commentary on our obsessive relationship with screen technology - and features some notable members of Skye's celebrity fanbase.In the video for Intruded - which is bookended by two other tracks from her debut album Space &amp; Time - Skye is the glamorous figure in various scenarios that riff upon corporatism, surveillance culture, outmoded yet classic technology and voyeurism.Whether she's surrounded by rows of CCTV cameras, or banks of TVs and DV cams, Skye is the cool, self-possessed, high-fashioned presence in a&nbsp;range of visceral textures, from vinyl to leather to silk.[imgtoken data:1]The cameras carry multiple images of the singer from the range of cameras, and also of the notable others - Timbaland, who produced her album, Lil Yachty and Bella Hadid, the latter uttering random phrases.Holmgren was influenced by the pioneering video artist Naim June Paik, with at least one explicit nod to his screen-based artworks. And this is something of a work of art in itself. A wonderfully crafted work by a director with a forceful eye.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Fenn O’Meally explores&nbsp;musical obsession in her charming promo for Texas ft. Wu-Tang Clan.&nbsp;The film features&nbsp;Kadeem Ramsay - well known for his recurring role in Top Boy, and also in Steve McQueen anthology Small Axe - as Myles, an obsessive Texas and Wu-Tang fan. After seeing their legendary joint performance at the 1998 Brit Awards, he’s spent the last 15 years collecting merch and memorabilia of the two, whilst plotting ways to bring this monumental collaboration back. The film follows Myles’&nbsp;obsession with the ultimate music collaboration and his hope that they will, one day, reunite.O’Meally&nbsp;injects humour and effortless charisma into the project, while employing a clever split narrative.&nbsp;Lensed by Molly Manning Walker, the use of authentic, docu-style shots helps build a sense of character and narrative, whilst the more experimental footage brings a jolt&nbsp;of youthful energy to the overall concept.&nbsp;The production design and art direction are top-notch, cleverly portraying a sense of celebrity obsession, without going overboard into parody territory. It's a film with a big heart, and looks like it was just as fun to make as it is to watch.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;
