Wowa directs an impressive live performance by Ms Banks for the MOBO Awards, broadcast late last year.&nbsp;Opening in a pastel-hued shop set, four dancers perform fiery choreography as Banks steps into frame, styled head to toe in bubblegum pink.&nbsp;The production design is equally&nbsp;as breathtaking as the performance, which cuts to black before displaying a poignant message: 'They Don't Really Care About Us'.&nbsp;Honouring the Black Lives Matter movement and paying tribute to YouTube star and content creator Nicole Thea - who passed away suddenly last year whilst pregnant with son Reign - the concept switches to an all-black studio set, where Banks gives a career-defining performance - powerful, engaging and truly emotive.&nbsp;Performances like this don't come around all too often, and Wowa has created something truly transcendent and elevated with the visual.&nbsp;

In Meeks &amp; Frost's video for B***K, Pa Salieu embodies different aspects of black history, each one special and unique, all captured in a single take utilising motion control.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The intricate blocking of all the various incarnations of Pa Salieu&nbsp;was only made possible via DoP Francis Lane and his team running an almost real time compositing workflow that delivered to monitors a draft composit of all the varios Moco takes.B***K closes with a homage to black queens where we see a giant lady towering over Pa.

The HRVY Four.Complying with social distancing guidelines, director Moon and DoP Francis Lane opted for layered motion control to turn one popstar into many, in a feelgood video that showcases the British pop sensation's multifaceted talents.&nbsp;

A romance between two anthropomorphised piñatas is threatened by persistent festival participants, in Lewis Cater's offbeat video for Darlin'.&nbsp;Soon&nbsp;after the local festivities have finished, a trio of young, nosey kids happen upon a house, and decide to break in to terrorise the couple, ending in a climax of spewed up candy corn and a lot of cleaning up to do.Brilliantly weird, Cater has given life to these characters through clever movement and staging, elevated by&nbsp;Anya Jane Magee's spectactular costume design work.&nbsp;

Thomas James Davis co-directs an (almost)&nbsp;one-shot performance video for Noisy's catchy Oi (ATM) with the band, shot in the Barbican Laundrette in London.The video is a series of long takes around the rotating camera at the centre of the space, with clever transitions to&nbsp;mask the cuts. Switching up the vibe throughout, Noisy's charismatic vocalist Cody&nbsp;follows the camera&nbsp;it as it spins in a slow, 360 degree motion, while his bandmates&nbsp;perform in the background.&nbsp;The inventive use of an everyday space, and DoP&nbsp;Francis Lane's composition and inspired lighting design, helps pull off the idea - the best showcase for this exciting new dance-pop band so far.&nbsp;

Aesthetically reminiscent of a fever dream, the anachronistic setups blend into each other, forming an abstract narrative that is haunting yet strangely optimistic.Depicting one man's struggle against the world, Capone has cleverly visualised the universal feeling of falling behind, and learning to stand back up, dust yourself off and move on.&nbsp;

Nana Rogues and Ms Banks team up in&nbsp;Darnell Depradine's vibrant video&nbsp;for Issues.&nbsp;Taking place inside a nondescript flat in London, the concept is split between two main setups- Rogues'&nbsp;neon lit performance&nbsp;in the living room and Banks in the bathroom, soaking in the tub surrounded by flowers and luxury.&nbsp;DoP&nbsp;Francis Lane utilises burst photography to create glitchy and erratic cutaways, helping&nbsp;bridge the scenes&nbsp;and&nbsp;create a striking&nbsp;change of pace. These shots are juxtaposed with the glossy and considered cinematography in the main scenes. A heavy use of green lighting is a brave and bold choice for a video like this, but works&nbsp;nicely and sets it apart from other current videos in the genre.&nbsp;Simple yet incredibly ambitious in its concept, Issues is a strong visual which highlights Rogues' and Banks' performance skills, whilst bringing something fresh and exciting to the table.&nbsp;

Cavetown gets stuck in his own head in Telescope, directed by Moon.&nbsp;Telling the story of the singer&nbsp;songwriter’s ongoing conflict with depression, and the constant battles faced with being stuck inside your own mind, the minimalist visuals are surreal and off balance, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. Understated but powerful, Cavetown's solo appearance in the video is poignant, and represents how the underlying themes are both personal and universal.&nbsp;Superbly shot by&nbsp;Francis Lane, the balance of dark and light helps represent the duality of the project, and the spinning camera movements and striking art direction ensure our attention is kept throughout.&nbsp;

Meji Alabi teams up with Eugy for the video for Hold Me Down - shot in the National Theatre of Ghana. It is the first time anyone has been permitted to shoot a music video in this spectacular theatre, and the team don't waste the opportunity.Using the impressive structure as a backdrop, every shot utilises the angular, imposing architecture of the location, and when paired with the subtle art direction it creates a bold, striking series of images.This theme carries through to the wardrobe, where a cast of extras wear uniquely shaped&nbsp;garments, full of straight edges and sharp contours, with a splash of colour and local flair. The performances are confident and assured, from both the artists and dancers, resulting in&nbsp;an exciting video packed full of ambitious concepts.&nbsp;The interiors are just as gorgeous, and&nbsp;Francis Lane does a great job of creating a dark and sexy atmosphere, utilising the deep red colour palette&nbsp;of the theatre, painting the characters in a vibrant silhouette. This is a project very much focused on form and design, and it's a must watch.
