From an abandoned slate mine in North Wales to a theatre in Blackwood, Kieran Evans&#39;s&nbsp;latest video for the Manic Street Preachers features a powerful&nbsp;performance from the band alongside the alienated protagonist that featured in the previous film for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2018/01/15/manic-street-preachers-international-blue-kieran-evans" target="_blank">International Blue</a>.And now our intrepid traveller (Sarah Sayuri Hare) finds herself a long way from Nice. She&nbsp;finds herself among the&nbsp;industrial landscapes and forgotten landmarks of Welsh history and politics.The video was shot anamorphic 2:39:1 to continue the widescreen concept established with International Blue, the final grading slightly exaggerating the saturation and hues of the landscapes and contrasts against the stark, de-saturated look for the interiors of the theatre and the band performance.

Kieran Evans&#39;&nbsp;beautifully photographed film for Seamus Fogarty&#39;s new track uses the simple premise of a journey from land to sea as the backdrop to weave a vocal performance and a typographic treatment of the lyrics.Shot in the Isle of Sheppey in Essex, the combination of natural beauty and old industry is brought together in the great black and white cinematography, shot by Evans himself. Fogarty&#39;s journey through these landscapes under a cloudless summer sky is counterbalanced with closeups of his face, and lines from the song printed on clear celophane.&nbsp;Travelling along hidden paths and well-trodden tracks, the singer&#39;s journey reflects his lyrics - and eventually lead us to a vast, empty sea.And a word of warning - this video starts with over a minute of Evans&#39; imagery with no sound at all. So your headphones aren&#39;t broken.
