Marthagunn explore isolation in the video for Heaven, directed by&nbsp;Daniel Alexander Harris.Switching between an energetic performance section&nbsp;shot in an unusual turquoise room and an abstract narrative, the video for Heaven focuses on short, snappy vignettes of different characters who are in some way isolated or&nbsp;reflecting on life, trying to work their way&nbsp;out of difficult situations.&nbsp;Shot with different shutter speeds in both sections, DoP Simon Plunket utilises the ghosting style effect as a haunting representation of the themes that run through the visual, to great effect. Unpretentious and to the point, this is an effective visualisation of the lyrics and song.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Matthias Hoene&#39;s very charming video for Eels tells the story of a Rusty, the drainpipe man - he&#39;s an&nbsp;abandoned and corroded set of drainpipes who ventures into the wide world to find his original owner, only to realise that he is surplus to requirements, and therefore homeless. So he must reinvent himself...Not only is this a resonant parable on the perils of getting older and increasingly obsolescent, Rusty is a beautiful&nbsp;creation by Hoene - which he and Yungah Lee designed, had made in Prague and then shipped over to the US for the shoot.

The latest collaboration between Moses Sumney and Allie Avital is an extraordinary work of visual poetry.&nbsp;Co-directing a video for the first time, the 7&nbsp;minute video for Quarrel tells a story rich in symbolism and surreal imagery.&nbsp;It depicts Sumney&rsquo;s kinship with a horse,&nbsp;and the tragedy that follows a shocking discovery.The video&rsquo;s disturbing revelation features the sculpture No Life Lost II by&nbsp;sculptor Berlinde De Bruyckere. Which is itself not for the faint of heart, or the horse-lover. It leads to a memorable ending.&nbsp;

Lee is in the middle of a hot streak right now, with this stylish video for Raye following on the heels of his work for Kasabian and Halsey.The hyper-real, accelerated and vibrant clip follows two different versions of Raye as they embark on two very different nights out. With split-screen being used to full effect, on top of a heap of head-spinning cuts, the video feels stylized, dizzying and euphoric with both versions of Raye and her friends celebrating with a raucous, messy energy that comes from a night of unexpected twists and turns.A combination of great animation and graphic design flourishes really helps Sing to put his own personal stamp on this clip.

Vince Staples is in a spot of bother but doesn&#39;t appear to be all that vexed by the situation in David M. Helman&#39;s latest clip.Staples, the only man aboard a small boat sinking in the middle of the ocean seems to have either accepted his fate or really knows how to keep calm under pressure as he raps along and awaits the inevitable. With nothing around for miles, a minimalist blue and white colour palette and a wash of serenity from Staples&#39; performance - the clip feels meditative, almost zen-like, in its presentation. Even when the boat is surrounded by sharks, or a distress flare is shot into the night sky.

Partizan&#39;s newest director&nbsp;Sophia Ray gets off to a effervescent start by letting British boyband&nbsp;MiC LOWRY off the leash in&nbsp;Los Angeles.It starts in the aftermath of a wild party, with guests passed-out on the floor, before the boys inject some real&nbsp;energy into proceedings, starting the party again and driving around LA.&nbsp;Sophia Ray&#39;s first video for Partizan UK shows a director with strong pop instincts which should stand her in good stead. And this was also was Lucy Rogers&#39; last video as producer at Partizan after a breathless couple of years. Lucy is now joining Atlantic Records to become a video commissioner working with Dan Curwin.
