Felix Brady explores our sense of self in the mesmerising video for Greentea Peng's Hu Man.&nbsp;Spanning a series of hyperstylised vignettes, the video is packed full of iconography alluding to our sense of self and the falsehoods we have bought into as a society, and laments the way we are so reliant on our own egos.&nbsp;Peng explains, "The track is a war cry. Calling upon the energy of Kali Ma- ‘The Dark Mother’, to strip us from our ego, take the skin and leave the spirit and transcend the veil of Maya - The cosmic illusion. For the battleground is inside of us - between you and your ego. In Lak'ech Ala K'in” - “I am you , you are me.”The sleek cinematography - care of&nbsp;DoP&nbsp;Ben Fordesman - feels almost dreamlike in its execution, and the use of VFX to transition between scenes and&nbsp;characters is a characteristic Brady touch that's seamless and very effective.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;

New directing collective SAD go on a multi-personality seaside stroll in their video for Dark Sky.SAD (aka Scott Taylor, Andy Shrubsole and Doug Stewart) have created a bizarrely euphoric piece of trickery with this video, inspired by the Othona Community (a Christian retreat for those seeking personal renewal). The video follows the journey of seven characters all played by the same actor in what seems like one seamless take, thanks to some clever invisible edits.The exploration of the self and the idea that we are all somehow connected &nbsp;is present in each of these interconnected vignettes &ndash; even if the characters themselves seem hell-bent on their own personal revelations.&nbsp;

Nick Rutter&#39;s dramatic promo for Rag&#39;n&#39;Bone Man&#39;s Hard Came The Rain documents the dramatic, violent end of a unstable&nbsp;relationship between a female impersonator and his obsessive ex-lover.It feels like a short film, and impresses for the&nbsp;complexity of the characters and&nbsp;intensity of the performances. And that feels about right for Rag&#39;n&#39;Bone Man&#39;s powerful brand of blues-rock.

Inspired by the family adventure films of the 80s and 90s, Elliot Dear has directed a thrilling video for&nbsp;Francois &amp; the Atlas Mountains&#39;&nbsp;The Way to the Forest.&nbsp;It&#39;s a cinematic fantasy of tiny forest ninjas (played by Francois and the band) protecting their home from two hapless and destructive hunters, complete with acrobatics, stunts, explosions. And then for good measure&nbsp;they even have to face&nbsp;the hunters&#39; animals - a&nbsp;hawk and a dog.&nbsp; Elliot - co-director of the award-winning Bear &amp; the Hare ad for John Lewis - uses his in-depth understanding of animation and special effects in this well-crafted&nbsp;perfect marriage of live-action, VFX and stop-motion animation.

Frànçois & The Atlas Mountains - The Way To The Forest (Official Video)

He's best known for his work in animation - in particular his promos for King Creosote and Jon Hopkins - but Elliot Dear has made a very assured and distinctive venture into live action for Francois and the Atlas Mountains' City Kiss.
Deep in snowy London, Francois is lost between a band performance and a trip out on the Docklands Railway in search of a girl, while in the grip of a nasty bout of narcolepsy. Elliot creates an inspired dreamworld around the singer - including an Inception-style sequence on a train. Very good indeed.
